Still my favorite Porter Musical (next to Kiss Me Kate). Have designed the costumes and sets for 2 productions (both directed by my dear friend Aldo Bozini)
so freakin hard to find this song!! took me 10 minutes... i just knew it was on here. very fun. i was just extending the secen in "paris holds the key to your heart" from Anistasia. works perfectly.
Cool! It's like a 5-minute history lesson on the staging of "Can-Can"... Well made! It is a shame, though, that back then they never made video recordings of stage shows, because I would've loved to see the original cast...
How wonderful to see so many glimpses of this show. I saw the revival with Zizi Jeanmarie many years ago on Broadway and I loved it. I couldn't believe that it flopped so quickly. What's wrong with great songs, colorful characters, terrific choreography, and a fun story?

I love this show, and adore this song---some of Cole's best rhymes. "If a bass in the sasketchewan can" is priceless.

You go, Cole! The stage production is legs, streets, ahead of the film! Glad we have this!
