Please keep in mind that molding any materials that absorb moisture, like nylons, ABS, polycarbonate, acrylic, etc need to be predried before you form them. Any moisture in the material will flash to steam and cause bubbles in the finish of the part.
If it's truly hollow then either by "roto-casting" or "extrusion blow-molding". But in the example of a lighter, it's actually made of at least two injection molded pieces that have been glued or even ultrasonically welded together.
If you're looking for a vacuum pump, get a rotary-vane pump, preferably a dual-stage one. It runs more quietly and generally achieves deeper pulls. I buy mine from aliexpressDOTcom
thanks. I like so much your Vacuum forming machine. Can you tell me step by step how do you build it? or if you have plans... My email is casalejuan@gmail.com thanks a lot.
When you're heating the plastic sheet, just make sure that the mold underneath isn't touching it. And if you make a mistake cool down the mold before trying again or it might melt or warp.
impressive

Does this plastic can be strong enough to be use to create casing for electronic devices (such like a coleco vision casing) ?

@fcycles For impact protection I'd use a different plastic. Polycarbonate would be best.
