My wife and I purchased this tent last spring. We've been on a few camping trips with it here in the Colorado Rockies and couldn't be happier with the product.
Been using mine for almost three years. Needed the ventilation/space because mostly I camp in hot, humid places. So far I've camped in the Ouachitas, Ozarks, and the Rockies around the Front Range. Only time I've had leaks were small ones during torrential rains. In the Rockies you will have high winds, it was scary but I didn't get airborne. Wrap the tent in tarps to heat too, makes a lot of difference. Think I got years of use left in this one, no tears yet.
i have that one to.it is pretty sturdy and fun to play in.me and my brother play in it all the time.you can also make three seprate rooms with the sepraters that it comes with.
I bought one of these tents last June and I can say after a year that it does pretty good for the weekend family camping trips. It even rained on us a couple times last year and everything inside the tent stayed dry. It is fairly easy to set up, it takes me about 20 minutes by myself and 20-30 minutes to take down and roll up. Set up instructions are printed on the Canvas bag included with the tent. I paid about $110 for ours last year from walmart.com
Yea,the Ozark Trail tents are good "starter" tents...if you're looking to spend less than $100 and you don't plan to stay over 1 or 2 nights camping...believe me,I have one.Folks, if you can...do spend a little more, don't get a tent from WALMART,Kmart,Target,etc...don't....Go get a coleman, not the ones from those stores <~~the real colemans,a Eureka,Kelty, etc. you'll be glad ya did.
My husband just bought this tent from Walmart. I looked for it online, but I'm pretty sure that it has been discontinued. Does anyone know where I can get the manual online?
this tent had superb REVIEWS EVERYWHERE I LOOKED. from my personal experience of owning 5 other tents, including some 3 times the price, ozark trail tents stood the test. i left my first one up for 1.5 years before it fell apart. this is a good company and the best value for the money.
I bought one of these at Goodwill for $12.50 I've yet to put it up to see what's missing. I think I have everything though.Obviously when it's at Goodwill, there's usually something missing or wrong with it.
@aleon1018 Well, I just put it up today and the hardest part was putting on the rain fly. It would help if I had long enough string or twine to pull the rain fly over the tent. It was a little windy today which made it a little more challenging. I actually put it up by myself even though the instructions say to have another helper. All that was basically wrong with this tent was one of the small 3/8ths rod sections was shattered. I had a replacement set and had to cut the new one down.
@aleon1018 A few things I don't like right off about the tent is the screen door. The zippers are in the middle and at the bottom, so the opening is narrow. The top of the screen should have also had 2 zippers so the left and right sections could be tied back. I was thinking about modifying it, mostly because I can and want to. Especially since it was only around 13 bucks at Goodwill. Anyone seen those magnetic screen doors on TV yet? that would be fine on a tent if the mesh kept out noseeums.
This is a great tent. Bought two weeks ago and we set it up in the yard and slept in it. 6 of us slept in it and we had plenty of space left. We will be testing it out at a campsite this weekend.. The setup is very easy considering I had never set up a tent before and we did it in about 15 minutes in the dark. Great deal with Walmart!!!
Great video- helped us make our decision after looking @ 10 others.
Ours was $109 (less another $20 for getting a WM credit card). We're a family of 6 & a dog- still had plenty of room for gear!
ONE THING: As with ANY tent, buy some Seam-Sealer (a few bucks) & go over ALL seams- this will save you LOTS of trouble.
Bottom line: You will NOT find a better value than this PERIOD! Those who had issues, probly didn't set it up right (easy setup BTW). Amazing for 220 sq/ft + a warranty.
That's almost a hotel room. Wow very spacy. Thanks for sharing, jatczek. I am going to check one out this afternoon. Late summer, they should be on sale. Thumbs up.
thanks so much! I do have a couple questions. Do you think that its a good tent for what you paid for? And was it an easy set up? Would you say it's oversized?
Thank you for taking this video. You're the only one on here. We just went to Walmart this afternoon and picked ours up. We're a family of 4 and we will have plenty of room. Please update us on how your family likes the tent.
We're going to go over ours and try to seal it again to be extra sure we're not going to get rained on!
Sweet tent, check out our channel.
