1:47 very much agree , f bonds the hammer is the greatest home run hitter of all time , people forget he has the all time rbi record too along with all those hits and great average.
The only reason you don't see great position players also pitching nowadays is because the tendency of coaches nowadays to develop atheletes as one or the other, not both. Think about it, in little league the best hitters were often the best pitchers and threw the hardest. In high school, you still see some players do both, but in college and on, they develop you as one or the other, not both. Plenty of great position players probably could have been great pitchers, but never had the chance.
If Griffey wouldn't of gotten injured he would of broken the homerun record in my opnion he was the complete player and people said he had the "perfect" swing it was just so fast it and smooth
First, i like to say only on espn will somebody truly say the truth in sports without worrying about getting fired. The guy on the right said what ive said just not on tv "babe ruth only played against whites so that kinda of hurt his chances" They forgot to mention the pitching was different, the plate changed, and there wasnt steriods. So im going with barry bonds. He dominated even people who were cheating. And he was a hall of famer before steriods. Not to mention he has more ui walks.
I've gotten on twice this year, one for who will win the NL central and who was the biggest winner at the deadline. Its pretty exciting when yu get on!
no offense tyler but i would have to with babe ruth because hes the only one on the list that could have become a hall of fame pitcher and that to me is the true definition of greatness and i hate when people say somebody has more stolen bases because if you get extra base hits then thats pretty much like a stolen base
the guy on the right covered my argument. And think they focus on his pitching more than they should he had a .342 career batting average. Now thats hard. The fact that he had a good pitching record with a team that one 4 world series in like 6 years is not any great accomplishment to me. People pictched to baberuth. He had lou gehrig hitting in the same line up. murders row was really dangerous. So if you didnt pitch to him you had to pitch to gehrig and others. Jeff kent doesnt match up.

I pick Ruth, because you never see pitchers hitting homeruns day in and day out..
