What many of you are missing here is the genius of Hermeto Pascoal. All of the childishly hurled insults I read on some of the posts here cause you to miss the magic. Hermeto is a world treasure and his legacy to the world of music will outlast all of your slights. Check out his composition "Uri (the Wind) from Flora Purim's recording "Encounter" and continue to dig into his body of work. We are all richer for it....whether you realize it or not....................

That man rocks. I could see his performance in the city of Santo Andre , Sao Paulo in 2006 during a winter festival. I got the last free ticket number 1500 just amazing.

The gig was the best i`ve ever seen when talking about jazz .
