Political correctness for animals! My dog has suffered' ! As have many others according to my vet! I understand peoples concern for puppy's but people have to realise dogs of all breeds are man made!
I so wish my dogs tail had been removed as a puppy! It has broke my heart suffering for so long .
He's 4 years old, I loved his tail , he carried it well, he used it to communicate , like all dogs do.
A boxer dog though , is a breed created by people! .sadly the boxer breed has a tail thin and prone to damage! My dog has suffered for 8 months ! He split the end of his tail an has been in pain all that time'
My vet told me its a common problem !
It's changed my opinion , woody now has to have a major operation to remove his tail!
The "vets" in this "safe facility" are drinking alcohol while preforming this surgery? They're not even wearing gloves or any protection! The least they could have done was put this puppy to sleep. I can't get over how heartless some people can be. Please, everyone flag this video for animal abuse.

It's better now at a young age, than at the older stage where the tail has grown. It is less traumatic for the puppy after all. I have been taking care of one of the puppies I docked the tail off. She showed no difference on behavior, and I was really worried she would, but nothing of such. It didn't hurt after the operation or during the operation.

I do own schnauzers and I decided not to cut the tail of the puppy I kept from my dog. And I have never cut the ears of either of them. Being I have the chance to do it.

As I did say, the puppies I bought I of course have them with the docked tail. Yet the one that was born from one of them, I did not do such. Even if it's on the breed's standard for the Schnauzer. I do perform such surgeries, but not out of practice. People tell you to want the surgery and pay.

ese rabo esta demasiado largo y mal cortado.. no va a quedar bononito. le falta quitarle otra vertebra. Yo lo que hago es que de recien nacidos (1 mes aprox) se los corto yo con bisturi o cuter desinfectado les pongo betadine y se los dejo a la madre que se los lama. De esta forma no sufren casi nada y les cicatriza perfectamente.
Bueno al menos no vi que llorara en el corte, como en otras que e visto que esperan 2 segundos y se la cortan, nisiquiera a echo efecto la anestecia -.-, nome gusta eso, pero creo que el perrito no lloro .. asi que estuvo bien.

I agree that docking is better for the Boxer breed, but any veterinarian or INTELLIGENT breeder will tell you that it is best to dock a puppy between 2-5 days old when their tails are small enough that they don't feel the pain and immediately go right back to sucking on their mother when the procedure is finished. This was cruel.

@BoredomUnleashed I think it's the same for almost every large breed. My borther's Dobe has broken his tail twice and flings blood everywhere almost daily.
My family fostered a greyhound a while back, and while it is not common to dock those dogs, he had the same problem my brother's Dobe did; lots of forceful wagging ending in a bloody tail.
@BoredomUnleashed I only believe this to be bad since they even show how they are DRINKING while performing this surgery. Also when they are talking about the puppy they don't make it easier for the poor thing. They didn't use gloves either. So this is why it's so disliked about people that watch this. I am certainly against using bad words towards the puppy, it is a patient after all and should be treated with respect. It only stresses the poor thing out.
@Dem0D1ck Yes that is another reason, but be it a Schnauzer, a Rottweiler, a poodle. Those need to be cut off due to the way the race should be. It is better to do it as a puppy. Not precisely so they don't remember it or feel it. But because when they get older, it will become a surgery that will be more tough to perform and will be bleeding more. So if some owner gets to have a long tail breed that he/she would like to perform such surgery, it will be more risky for the puppy.

this is absolutely horrid how the tail has been docked thi was not done by a vet nor some one who has any sense not only that but it has been left way to long none of my pups that i have docked there tail never screamed like this pup has but what can u do with these fucking people dont care about this dogs well being

for all those people who think this is horrible, boxers tails need to be docked because they wag there tail so hard and fast they can actually break it. as puppies they sleep through the pain.. they dont remember the pain as puppies. dont you think pain you dont remember is better than breaking your tail and being scared to wag it again? take your pick.. its for the dogs health

@BoredomUnleashed I think it's the same for almost every large breed. My borther's Dobe has broken his tail twice and flings blood everywhere almost daily.
My family fostered a greyhound a while back, and while it is not common to dock those dogs, he had the same problem my brother's Dobe did; lots of forceful wagging ending in a bloody tail.

@BoredomUnleashed I only believe this to be bad since they even show how they are DRINKING while performing this surgery. Also when they are talking about the puppy they don't make it easier for the poor thing. They didn't use gloves either. So this is why it's so disliked about people that watch this. I am certainly against using bad words towards the puppy, it is a patient after all and should be treated with respect. It only stresses the poor thing out.

@Dem0D1ck Yes that is another reason, but be it a Schnauzer, a Rottweiler, a poodle. Those need to be cut off due to the way the race should be. It is better to do it as a puppy. Not precisely so they don't remember it or feel it. But because when they get older, it will become a surgery that will be more tough to perform and will be bleeding more. So if some owner gets to have a long tail breed that he/she would like to perform such surgery, it will be more risky for the puppy.

@BoredomUnleashed So why does a boxer dog wag their tail any harder than any other breed of dog????? Docking is now illegal in Britain except for working dogs which is a very good thing. A dog is born with a tail and so they should keep it.

Docking is cruel and discusting.

this is so adequate that they have a can of beer (beer?) and this is totally inhumane to do this at such an old age without surgery.....I have puppies that I dock tails and do the dew claws and this is just crazy insane to do this clearly the puppy is in pain!
