Typically for swordsman, the sword was always carried in the LEFT hand-I think, that is...I just assume that since the right arm was used so often, it was used for the shield to protect the combatant's body from harm. I suppose this neglects those rules for the convenience of the player XD
@206Zelda Makes some kind of sense. I myself am left-handed and while I have the greatest control over my left hand and I feel I'm stronger in the right. So much so I would put emphasis into the right arm if I were pushing something or doing heavy lifting. But nevertheless looks like Skyward Sword is gonna be righty only again... :(
@206Zelda You're kinda right, but that's why if you're right handed you'll usually use your sword with your right hand. You have greater control, strength, and stamina in that arm. While the left arm/hand would only be used for blunt blocking.
@206Zelda I'm sorry but you are wrong my friend. You would always hold you sword in your dominant hand, that's why most shields in reality are much larger than how they are depicted in movies and games.
its when you go back to ordon by forest temple you save a monkey and it shows you another way its not like other temples where it takes like 3 days or sumtin to beat just follow the skull kid guy
its easy, 70% of the people (aprox) in the world is right handed so a right handed person with the wii mote in his right hand will look strange in a left handed character like link, so they mirrored the whole game for the wii so all those 70% of the people wouldn't had trouble playing as Link :)
@josevivo I know your comment is 3 years old, but I wanted to say that technically, Link is Ambidextress. It means that Link can use both his left AND right hands for certain tasks. Yes, Link uses his left hand in most zelda games, but in the original zelda on NES, Link uses his sword in both hands. It all depends on which side of the screen he's looking at. PLUS, in the original legend of zelda game manual, Link is holding his sword with his right hand. Link can use any hand he wants. Lucky.
You know whats ironic, Link takes the master sword from the pedestol to fend off evil, while he is actually just releasing it :P

@josevivo its becaus ehte wii version is mirrored to the gamecube 1. I dount know y but it is.
xXshadowplateXx 1 year ago
@josevivo its actually because it was first made of gamecube in which he was left handed but on the will they mirrored it making him right handed.
