@TheStfu1000 You are actually downloading the video to your computer to view it. Though this is done in small parts that are then deleted from your memory. Correct technology please.
@MegaYippieyeah i knew all that but tell me would you really call people who watch youtube videos viewers or downloaders?which do you think is the more appropriate phrase? and yes you would call the uploader uploader.
you should have toldus the time periods for each song part. it's a great idea to have music whilst telling history facts gives you a vibe of the times.
Brilliant. This really involved some amazing talent, both the music and the lyrics were great. You nailed it. Sadly, music nowadays sounds all just like the last part. Fuck all those fraudulent quacks.
@spyfoxguy Thanks for your comments and praise! And indeed, thanks to everyone for listening and enjoying and making this episode so well-received. Brian and I are thrilled that you liked the music. Be sure to share the vid with your friends and anyone you think might enjoy it (or who might need a skeptical kick in the pants) And I promise the "Energy" single will be out soon! - peter z.
One week you are begging for contribution under the guise of continuing your research and cover costs and the next you are wasting our hard earned money on producing THIS (Just how much did this little self-indulgent extravaganza cost anyway?)!!! SERIOUSLY! Exactly what about this is 'skeptical'?
@Umferth: The song covers topics that we as skeptics are interested in. I'm guessing you must feel different about this than I, but I'm happy when not all of my skeptical podcasts, etc that I consume are so stuffy. There's a lot to be said for stuff that's entertaining on its face and not just to us the converted because we're interested in the topic all ready. I'm hoping some of my friends that are into the whole energy thing might get some value out of this.
I keep coming back to watch this. The tunes are very catchy. I'm walking around at work singing the songs. You and Peter did a wonderful job with this.
This was fantastic. Very witty. Must have taken a long time to write - both the words and the music. I had no idea Brian Dunning was such a talented singer. Wonder whether he played any of the instruments? It's wonderful to take a break from all the serious anti-myth videos and listen to this. Almost as good as the "Evolution of Dance" videos that parody dances through the decades.
@lytoshortie5354 Had some text and cropping issues, and we fixed them. Sucks that we lost all the comments we had, but YouTube won't let you edit a video and keep the same ID.
How great is this! Its just UNBELIVABLE!

From what opera is the part that immediately follows the opera part in the video?

@helghe That would be the Overture from "Tannhauser" by Richard Wagner.
