  • Are there any better versions of this performance?

  • Which man? The one at the beginning? Wasn't Billy Strayhorn black? I doubt any white man could write such a song (especially considering the time it was written) but I really don't know, just inferring from context.

  • luv this woman! very style

  • Jazz mama :)

  • when was this????????

  • "Life is lonley again.." so soft and sad

  • Scary good...

  • I believe that the guy pictured for a moment was the guy from Sweden that she had a brief affair with. As I recall he turned out to be a crook. Too bad.

  • Perfection from Two Exceptional Artists....

  • wow, that was Billy Strayhorn in the pic? amazingly good looks --and he was such a talented musician. A rare combination of beauty and talent!

  • not it was'nt

  • Sublime

  • Strayhorn wrote this when he was 18 and he's never been to Paris!! Amazing no?

  • He wrote it when he was 16.

    Even better.:)

  • Magnificent. Two geniuses at the peak of their powers, performing one of the greatest jazz tunes ever written (by the great Billy Strayhorn.) Thank you for posting this incredible clip.

  • Incredible!

  • Her voice is so beautiful, it gives me the chills. Beautiful performance!

  • One of my favorite songs of all time..

  • Sweet Ella,wonderful performance
