i remember watching this live. i went apeshit twice, once when the scored, and again when carney missed the point after. they reviewed the play for like 30 minutes, lol, fond memories
@dhstandard22 um what? ill accept an argument that it might be disputable...but saying it was a good 2 or 3 yards back is just ridiculous.....its not worth arguing if your going to be that outrageous about the situation
he threw it at around the 32.5 yard line...the guy caught it at what looks like the 32 yard line...if he was 2 or 3 yards back that would mean he caught it around the 35 or even before...are you really saying the guy who caught it was before the white line marking the 35? hard to say that...since hes 3 yards past it...dont be dillusional
Not true actually. At the TIME they were still alive but another team later on in the day had to lose(I forget who) but they didn't. So even if they won this game, they would have ended up missing the playoffs in the end. Thank god. Would have been a crappy way to go.
too bad that guy had to miss the extra point... that is all your paid for and you cant make it from 12 feet... middle school football kids can do that
More plays in the NFL should utilise the lateral. Look at rugby and how short man to man offloads can work wonders, legal in the NFL so why not use it in situations other than miracle last ditch efforts? Have two wide receivers running side by side, draw the defender and lateral it off. Touchdown.
2 WRs side by side = 2-3 defenders with them. It also makes the window for the QB to throw into a lot smaller to those guys. Laterals work but it's rare because of the high chance of fumbling the ball. The reward rarely outweighs the risk.
Yeah OK cocksucker...and you know what you are talking about...I will book your bets anytime and anywhere or you can shut the fuck up? Great comment though dumb fuck.
Dante Stallworth made this play with those jukes and broken tackles. But Deuce McCallister did well with that final lateral....it was very far. Also a good block for Stallworth. Also another good block by Aaron Brooks on a defensive tackle. I'm amazed how both a lineman and a quarterback both got down field. Too bad the kicker missed the extra point and they lost anyways....
hahaha 0:31-0:34 "O, O mah god."

haha, if its any consolation, looks like the first lateral was a forward pass...guy caught it a yard marker ahead of the pass
