Teaching abstinence doesn't work because teens are going to have sex. Teach them to do it safely and they might do it safely. So yes, when abstinence was taught, teen pregnancy went up. It's just a coincidence that Bush did it.

It's always best to be as safest as possible. Just think, by teaching contraception, you still know in the back of your mind, someone will get hurt from it (since it's not 100%). That's why I'd never teach it. Conscience wouldnt want it
It sounds good but it's not effective. Statistics show that teens have sex no matter what you tell them but they have safer sex if that's what they're taught. That's why teen pregnancy goes down when safe sex is taught in contrast to abstinence only. The abstinence only taught teens are less likely to use condoms while safe sex taught teens will be more likely to use them. Teaching them it isn't condoning, it's preparing. Teach abstinence if you want pregnancy.

Prop 8 was EXTREMELY controversial. Look at the polls and get your facts straight Limbaugh. 52% of the country voted yes on it and 47% voted no. Almost 50/50. A majority by a whopping 3%. I guess thats why he didnt quote the actual outcome of the votes.. no credibility.

When two men/two women are together only one sex organ is present, therefore sex can't take place. Things like anal/oral can, but sex in it's originality cannot. The thing that people don't seem to realize is that Marriage isn't "owned" or "exclusively" accorded to one religious faith, like Christians seem to like to believe. It sounds good but it's not effective. Statistics show that teens have sex no matter what you tell them but they have safer sex if that's what they're taught. That's why teen pregnancy goes down when safe sex is taught in contrast to abstinence only. The abstinence only taught teens are less likely to use condoms while safe sex taught teens will be more likely to use them. Teaching them it isn't condoning, it's preparing. Teach abstinence if you want pregnancy.

That was racism. The reason why blacks and whites couldn't marry eachother was to keep the races separated from eachother in the belief that whites are superior to blacks, which was wrong. You don't have white scouts and black scouts. So interracial marriage isn't wrong. It was banned due to racism. Marriage is about bringing the two great halves of humanity together in a bond. @kalevraa We didn't take gay marriage away from anyone. In fact, 50 years ago we weren't fighting over this issue because the whole concept of gay marriage didn't even exist. The liberals and militant gays have brought on this concept and are getting pissed off at everyone for not wanting to re-define marriage. Not anyone can just marry. Incest, polygamy, and pedophilia (marrying one under 18, not just before puberty) are all illegal.

Not really. Homosexuality is unnatural just like bestiality. It's not comparable to pedophilia only because the pedoophile is considered an abuser. When two men/two women are together only one sex organ is present, therefore sex can't take place. Things like anal/oral can, but sex in it's originality cannot. The thing that people don't seem to realize is that Marriage isn't "owned" or "exclusively" accorded to one religious faith, like Christians seem to like to believe. Marriage goes back before recorded history, which would mean it would predate the Bible, and since everyone in the world wasn't Christian, then it can't "belong" to Christianity alone, or any religion or culture. This issue should never be put on a ballot. You can "vote away" the constitution by an ignorant "majority".
