We started getting those old shows on a channel here in southern in. The burns and allen show, gracie was such a hoot, poor george, she cracks me up about every day.

I can't think of any modern characters like Gracie-- the genius at being dumb gag. Possibly Kramer of Seinfeld or Edith Bunker on All In The Family. In some ways Rose on Golden Girls. Goldie Hawn was pretty adorable at being the dumb savant on Laugh-In, but you have to go out of your way to find that show anymore.

Such smart comedy. They had such a close, loving relationship, too. He must've been so devastated when he lost her, but they're together again, forever.
