There's a "Training-centre", for youths like these, near my work-place. The kids (14yrs - 20yrs) that go there are all young offenders. MAKE NO MISTAKE these "kids" are totally unlike anything that you'd imagine. They are simply ANIMALS! (A lot of the comments here are obviously by people who know what I'm talking about) THEY SHOULD BE PUNISHED - BRING BACK CORPORAL PUNISHMENT!

Its all about parenting. Education at an early age will help - If children dont know how to behave, when they are older and have kids of there own how will they teach their kids how to be polite? Don't get me wrong, camphill provides a physically beautiful place to live, and it is a nice way of life if you like farm/craft work, but there ARE problems.
Eg. I've seen abusive behaviour by volunteers; CH only takes on residents who can work; CH tend to cater for well-off families; there's only 2000 adult places country-wide; the ideology is good, but ultimately it is still segregation.

The kids do need hope and aspiration, but 48% are born outside of marriage (2008) that is the reality. Parents do need to discipline them and teach them a code of morality, but all to often they are found wanting or completely absent. They have failed their children and the softly softly approach of the last 20 years has been a dismal failure. The elderly are afraid to leave there own homes and feel trapped inside. Society must step in, spare the rod,and spoil the child.
