  • This is absolutely amazing mate! Well done seriously, I really want to learn this but I can't find any tabs anywhere

  • you should definitely hook me up with those tabs!

  • AWSOME!

  • I like your groove. Despite flaws in tones here and there, you have excellent groove in my oppinion. Many performers, even those viewed by way more people than this video, lack that groove.

  • @durizap I really appreciate this comment. Thanks mate.

  • Parabéns!!!!!

    Muito bom mesmo!!!

    Muito bem executado...

    Simplesmente perfeito!

  • @cassiocustodio i used a translator, and you are very kind. Thank you!!

  • Congralutaions man good job!!!

  • Do you plug into an amp for these Thomas Leeb tunes or play straight acoustic?

  • @umholtz129 just acoustic mate, at the time i didnt have good pickups installed.

  • still coming back for more haigh lol! u leg! end!

  • @hotfuz007 no you sir are the legend!! cheers bud.

My sincere respect for your work on that song.

    Friendly,

  • you rock!

  • thaT'S great! really loved it! 5*

  • So I took your advice and bought the Grooveyard and Desert Pirate tabs. I just posted up a cover of the latter. Tell me what you think :)

  • where have you posted the desert pirate tab? checked out ur cover as well, awesome.

  • I meant I posted a cover, not the tab. Buy the tab if you want it, lol :)

  • hey good job at a tuff song!!!!! keep up the good work. haha luv the improv scratch plate! u dont happen to hav a tab or music?

  • Cheers mate. I do have the tabs, but I bought them of Thomas Leebs website so cant really give them away.

  • It was never going to be as good as the original, but its still a bloody good effort mate. Good on you for learning it!

Infinitely better than i could do myself

  • Cheers!

  • Really gd job, ur much better at this than me! Just out of curiosity, what is ur scratch plate made of?

  • Cheers! its just a piece of plastic i found lying about which i sanded down.

  • hi jack, really , really good. In fact it's bloody good, good to see ya mate! All is quite on the Lavington front!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Cheers mate.! Who is this by the way?

  • Hi Haggis! Happy New Year to you! During my christmas holiday I finally sat down to look at this tune properly. It's starting to come together now. 'Bitesize chunks' is the key phrase!!!!

For the scratch plate I'm using a bit of black pedalboard velcro. I have seymour duncan magmic and a mic inside the guitar which picks up the scratches really well! Sounds cool!

    Cheers!

  • honestly mate keep it up your very good like maybe i should try and get a cd of you :) (still not as good as thomas leeb have to say like)

  • haha! Cheers man!

  • hey man nice work! can u tell me what u made the scratch plate from?

  • cheers. Its basically just a piece of plastic i found lying around. Ijust cut it to shape, sanded it down and stuck it on.

  • EXCELLENT !

    What a rythm

    Maximum respect haggis !

    Keep going on !

  • Thanks mate!

  • Hey Haggis! Amazing job! You've even got praise from the Leeber himself! How 'bout a vid lesson on this tune? You seem to have really good grasp of percussive techniques. Would be nice to hear an explaination of your approach. I guess what I'm saying is 'I have the tab - but I need some help!' lol

  • I would be up for doing that, but id better ask thomas leeb first though cus some people might use it to work out the tune without the tab and hed lose out on money.

  • quality cover mate, especially considering the song haha

    5 stars!

  • cheers man!

  • fucking sick... amazin

  • cheers !

  • Haighy boy i fucking love this tune, its so chilled out. Keep the videos coming tho man, its been a while since you last posted.

  • Its a sweet tune. Im gunna put up grooveyard and rylynn soon and then drifting but its hard!!

  • Nice playing 1990haggis!...And what a nice surprise when you sign back onto youtube to find that Thomas Leeb himself left you a personal comment!. Seems Mr Leeb is not only a great guitar player and composer but a gentleman as well!

  • cheers mate. Yeah, thomas leeb is a legend!!!!!!!

  • hey man!

many thanks for learning it - good job!!! It's a real honor for me to have somebody learn to play my tunes - and especially that one because it took me a while to write and learn myself.

    keep 'em coming!

  • Thanks alot thomas. That means alot!!!!!!!

  • Marky and Joost are both wrong, anything you do is fucking brilliant, you are a Legend

  • cheers lads

  • JOOST is wrong haigh my son this is ur finest

  • VERY Nice cover. I'm trying to learn this one myself. What did you use for a scratch plate?

  • cheers!

I used a piece of plastic and scratched it up with sandpaper

  • Good work mate! is that a little drum skin you've tapped on the guitar?? Do something a bit more popular next time and get that veiw count up.

  • another good video haigh, still not sure if its better than your shanghai one, but its right up there, Australia will be bamboozled by this! YES!!!
