Well in Houston,Channel 13 KTRK-TV is number one and has been for the better part of 40+ years.KHOU-TV channel 11 (this video) is a close number 2, they were number 1 briefly in 05-06; KPRC is overall number 3 all though in the morning they do come in 2nd at times; beating KHOU. KRIV(FOX 26) is overall 4th place and number 1 from 7-9am. Followed by CW39 which only has a 9pm newscast.
okay i need to explaint this better. from 2005to early 2007 channel 11 was the number one station in houston, that time was also close to the time channel 11 went HD. so they continue to say first in hd meaning, they were first to go HD and at that time we had more veiwers.

Well that's rather misleading. That would be like 2 stations saying "_____'s #1 NewsCast": One of them meaning #1 by having the most viewers, and the other justifying their #1 spot because of their statistics in live coverage.
13 should say instead "Live in HD, this is 13 Eyewitness News..." or something like that...I dunno...i find it rather misleading myself.
Actually that is not completly right. While 11 was number one and was the first station to broadcast in HD, 13 continued to say they were first in HD. The reason was they had the first HD Helicopter camera, but did not broadcast in HD. Thus making them quote "first in HD" ITs all very misleading...
Has anyone mentioned that KTRK's Skyeye13 was watchable in HD on 13.1 before KHOU News made the HD switchover, so I believe this is a debate-able point about who's on first.....I think they can both claim to be "first in HD"......WHATEVER!
That's one of the best -- if not the absolute best -- temp sets I've ever seen. As others here have said, the final product better be nothing short of amazing.
channel 2 will sink behind 26, and wake up and finnally turn the news operation around and make a rebounce.
channel 13:Dave ward will leave the station and make room for tom koch, but with tom koch gone from mornings channel 13 will have to look for a new person and ratings could sink.
channel 11: greg husrt will probably ask for less time, and len cannon would swap, shern-min will still be at mornings.
God, small market stations would kill to have a real set like this. In fact, I wonder if the bidding process for this will be heated after KHOU is finished with it. Just an amazing job making a small space look large and elegant, done entirely through lighting.
But yeah, it's obviously temp. The anchors aren't fully lit (Len's face 2:09-2:11), it's too small to have a variety of shots, and the room is not soundproof enough. Now the real one better be jaw dropping, dammit.
oh my jesus! How do they get the plasmas to move like that?? That's REAL spiffy!

Actually, KHOU just hired Christine Haas from KVUE to be the morning co-anchor, so I think Shern-Min will be back on the weekends.
