This is without a doubt, my absolute favourite episode of The Shield ever! There should be more cops like Vic Mackey on the force! The world would be a much better place, don't you lot agree? I think the story later says that Shane did not know this was about to go down. I think they probably didn't know that when shooting the episodes, because he looks completely apathic.
here's what I dont get about this: If they wanted to get Vic for Terry's murder, why didnt they just dust the gun for prints. Mackey wasnt wearing gloves?
@hollywoodliberal1 I think the presence of Mackey's prints on the gun could be easily explainable away. He wrestled with the suspect and tried to grab the gun. He picked it up accidentally. Having a cop's prints on a gun that was used in a murder, at the scene of the murder, is a little flimsy for a murder conviction, don't you think?
Seen it a gazillion times but still...that scene of Vic Mackey taking Terry Crowley down has to be one of the best, most shocking moments on TV, even after all these years! A real classic!
