These are great little cook pots and are very lightweight....I found at the Goodwill store a light weight stainless steel cup mug with handle, I paid $1.49 for the mug and it measures 4 inches in diameter and 3 3/4 inches tall that will hold 20 ounces of water, for a lid I used the aluminum bottom off a Planters Cashew can and Para cord for a lid handle it works great... total weight 3 ounces. I tried the Heiny Pot Kit for a while but, I did not like it because of no handle but is very light.
can you actually buy those heini pots with the wick ready to go ? i use the titan kettle with home made pop can stove works great but usually go solo, so it is more than i need. cheers
Was wondering how tight fitting the lid is on the MSR. Whenever I cook I tend to look into the pot alot or add ingredients. So I wouldn't want the lid to be so tight as to have to yank on it hard to take it off. So if you had it filled with water and you took off the lid will the water splash out.
cool. I'm a big fan of the Heiney pot but I got to admit, for anything other than heating up water, it's pretty close to useless. Luckily that's all I want it to do :)

Also does it have measuring lines?

yes, it was rather nasty outside yesterday and even today in Longmont. Combo of snow and rain...
is the diameter of the Snow Peak 600 the same as the 700? I have the 700, and it's lid, although pretty heavy (its stainless), is rather effective.

'fraid not. The 700 is the same diameter as a Nalgene, so it can slip onto it.
The stainless lid is on of the reasons why I didn't go for it. But instead got the Vargo Ti Mug, same capacity and diameter. Just has a Ti lid.
But I do wish the Vargo has measuring lines.

Dig your vids. Did you carry your Heini pots in a plastic container, or were they durable enough without protection?
