can't give you a pass because your voice is not strong neither you're singing voice is perfect, but you're a little bit better than now a days hk singers.

I listen to it twice but still dosent worth to pass, try harder, train more, and do more excercisng for breath. You could do better though.

first of all i do buy CDs. but since im 18 and this song came out in like 92, why the hell would i own a CD with this song on it? and last time i checked, a CD doesn't tell you if the song is a cover or not. knowing who composed the song doesn't mean you'll automatically know its a cover.

second, a cover of a japanese song? don't know if its true but so what? this song is a classic and obviously more popular than the "original japanese version" so of course she would rather sing this version.

do you want an honest opinion? it is good considering you have no training. frankly, your voice is a bit weak. if you are serious, you could try to train your voice and do breathing exercises. Yoga is good for a singer. Learn to gather air and then control its outflow as you sing. strategise as to when to take a deeper breath or lighter breath
