  • What's the song after amazing grace?? Nice

  • Hey! That is amazing!! I love the organ so much and as an organist i wish more people played it! and played it right! you a very good keep it up!!

  • you is good playing organ im a organist at my church lolz

  • no way thats a man

  • I am one... at least the last time I checked. Check my later videos that aren't two years old. The beard should confirm it.

  • I love this man. Especially the tone

  • What a blessing! Unfortunately there are churches out there that pay musicians rather than to have true born again Christians on their platforms! And thus you have people leaving terrible comments! keeping play for God!!! :)

  • Young Man, God has blessed you with a gift and regardless of whether or not you play to satisfy "Mans" likes or dislikes, God is pleased by those who use the Gifts that He gives to glorify Him. Dont worry about the nay sayers young man...God will make your enemies your footstools and if He said it, His promises are Yea and Amen. I have been playing for over twenty years and I promise you its not about riffs and runs... its about winning souls to Christ!!! Stay Encouraged. Pianominister08

  • Ouch!!!

  • To Lori; Well gee, since I learned "the old rugged cross" at the age of four, "amazing grace" at the age of five , Guess you have some things to teach me! I was merely commenting on the musiconship,or lack thereof! Why is it that religious fanatics always think that as long as a performance is bible oriented, it is good? This guy SUCKS! "The Lord said unto him, make unto me a joyful Noise" This guy got the "Noise pART RIGHT!

  • You know... I've got two replies to this, and I don't really care if they impress anybody or not. First of all, I did this two years ago (as you see from the upload date) and the piano is more "My" instrument than the organ. My more recent uploads are more representative of my skill or lack thereof.

Secondly... I played it the way we sing it in church. I've got no quarrel with "blues" or "fancy" organ playing or anything else -- but I played here the way it sounds in our sanctuary on Sunday.

  • I agree with you, i play the hammond organ for church, and i don't use any of the features on it, i just play the keys for the man above us :-)

    God Bless Matt Perry

  • @rebelmunro Just because it's a Hammond does not mean that everone who plays it has to be a Jimmy Smith wanna-be. If that's the kind of music YOU like, then fine. But there are still many people who like to be able to recognize the song that's being played, and endless runs, riffs, and pedal stomping makes one song sound pretty much like another. THIS is more in line with what the creator of Hammonds envisioned from the outset. If anyone sucks, its you and your attitude.

  • you should play barefoot;)

  • to me this is what organs are for thank you God Bless you never mind thes other folks Lori is also a very good organ player

  • What a waste of a Beautiful Hammond! Not denying anyones beliefs, but surely the way to "Heaven" is not through playingf this three chord crap!

  • I will answer your question appropriately as no one else has!

    The organ is indeed beautiful!!

This young man is playing one of the most sacred hymns of the Christian faith!!!

No it does not take one to heaven.

For those of us that do believe in Christ when we hear this melody it brings to mind the words!

I would suggest you look up the words and the history to the hymn "The Old Rugged Cross".

At The Foot Of That Cross,

    Lori

  • There is nothing wrong with sacred music and I believe such music puts one in a mood much more conducive to praising God. Keep up the good work.

  • I didn't say there is anything wrong with your choice in music or anyone Else's. No offense to you or anyone. However I don't agree for me and I'm sure many others blues can be much more uplifting and expressive whether it be personal or for praise to god. To each his own and all the luck with your playing.

  • Shame on you!! I love the blues, rock, and all types of music! And it's all on here. Instead of being negative..just move on!!

    Good night!

  • congratulations, is very nice, apear a beautiful dream...amei, ficou ótimo e tão suave, triiillleeegggaaalll! Sophia-Brasil

  • What is the main purpose of all those coloured levers? Do you have pedals as a piano? Thanks for sharing.

  • The foot controls are a set of pedals that supply the bass notes; usually the root of whatever chord is being played up on the keyboards. The right foot also has a "volume pedal" - works like a car accelerator.

The on/off switches across the top row are controls for percussion (modifies the tones somewhat), reverb, vibrato, pedal behavior (legato, soft, etc) and instrument.

  • There are flip switches for four or five preconfigured instruments for each keyboard, and then one for "Drawbars", which are the multicolored (black, brown, and white) pull-out levers to the immediate left of the top keyboard. They work similar to pipe organ "stops"; each one corresponds to a different pitch that can be played by pressing the same key. You "blend" all these pitches (some produce chords, others just octaves) to produce the tone you want.

  • well done, exellent playing, I love the old hymns because they are peoples testomonies with the Lord. I play those hymns in church from the redemption hymnal. you look a young man, keep it up, im only 24. God bless you!

  • Very good :)))))

  • Your playing is wonderful

  • Well done!...bravo...

  • Is beaultifil it's organ

  • Very good playing. A real treat to hear some real church music nowadays! Keep up the good work.

  • Nice job those old hymns are so wonderful to hear.

  • Nice change from the the jazz organ videos on youtube. You sound like you play every Sunday. Thanks for that.

  • Have you ever play on the real pipes organ ??

Church pipes organ - it is powerfull , with trompette 16' in pedal and pouson 8' in manual.

  • I have this same organ but a little different cabinet features. I do the same thing with my foot on this small organ. I have a C3 in the church I play and I don't do that with a larger pedal board. I have big feet too. Keep it up! Be blessed!

  • Nice! You're a good organ player. Keep playing!

  • i love anybody f.... w/ a hammond especially an old one, you sound wonderful / james

  • love it u can really play , u have the same kind of organ i have.

  • i have an m3 - the 1950's model of what u have. i accually like it best of all the models i've played...nice rich tone, as does yours. thx for posting and keep playin those great hymns!

  • at my church we got a really old one form the 60's i think it is a E111

  • you are Really Good if you keep practicing u cuold get even better i really ejoyed your playing

  • Wonderful playing. You show experience. I've been looking into a M111 myself (same organ inside, different furniture).

  • i got that m111 and i am in love whit it.

  • Well, you are pretty good on the organ, as well as the piano. Music should be for fun and I enjoy your playing of the great old hymns of the church.

  • Thanks - the organ's harder for me because I have to read more of the music sometimes... but i can do well enough with it if I practice with it. Can't just sit down and play it like the piano, but I'm getting better.

    It's an m-102 if anybody's curious.
