Yes, that album is pure genius & I LOVE "Blue Valentine".

As for the tutorial, this song's chord progression isn't too complicated.

I play: Dm7 - Dm7/C - Bbmaj7 - Dm7/A - A7

Almost all of my improvisation is over a D blues scale.

The rest is just smoke & mirrors, that's pretty much all I can tell you.
