May I ask, how did you organize the porters?! Do they carry all your gear and you carry like your water, a little snack and some warm clothe in your little bag?
@tourdumondiste1 I made the trek last summer and hopefully this info can help you...For me Porters were arranged through a Trekking agency, locally we used Zara located in Moshi and they were great! On the trek they take care of all of your food prep, cleanup and carrying your gear. The only thing you have to worry about is carrying your day pack which consisted of any gear you needed for the day, your lunch, sunblock, camera etc.
