  • the Queen Mary has gone to hell. They recently "refurbished" the rooms, making it like a modern hotel room. Taking out the "Salt" knobs for the showers (even if they no longer work it was still cool to see), the original floor petal toilet flusher, the original upholstery, all of it gone to make it look like a modern hotel.

When I stay on the Queen Mary, I want to feel like I'm on the QUEEN MARY, and not your cookie cutter Doubletree or Marriott.

  • I stayed on the Q.M. in January, and didn't realise you could go into the Pool Room unescorted. I thought a tour guide had to take you.

  • Wondering if the lighting was that dim during the ship's service years- I think there was more "indirect" lighting(fixtures hiding behind sections of celing)- that type lighting was used a lot in the 1930's-1940's.

  • @gemini16th The tour guides stated issues with the electrical in certains areas on the ship. The said the had issues with the ship's original DC electrical systems/wiring and the shore AC. Doesnt make complete sense though..

  • Fake an gay

  • this ghost stuff heres a crock. went on the tour 2 times......nothing. been to the pool, dressing room, lower engine/boiler areas....nothing. all the sounds u here are creaks bcuz the boat is basically a rusted up pos that needs to be put out of its misery. if ur supersticious u will not agree with me bcuz u focus on this stuff rather than REALITY

  • rusted out POS??? Its a landmark that helped win WWII as a troopship. Also last example of the ocean liners of its era.

  • o it is. im not insulting it in any way but just sayin it needs to be put out of its misery

  • it needs to be restored... donate to the smithsonian and make it a maritime museum

  • @76TomD as much as I love having it in my back yard of Long Beach, yeah the Smithsonian would treat it much better than the city of Long Beach has.

  • @Xplorer1147

This ship is active on a daily basis.

If you don't go there as often as others, then you

really can't say it is, or it is not, based on one tour.

The only tour that you will get to spend time to sit, listen, and try to communicate with spirits is on the Paranormal Investigation tour.

Unfortunately, your attitude prevented you from doing so.

To each their own opinion, but in fact, this place

is filled with spirits and spirit activity.

Saying to put it out of its misery is wrong.

  • that ghosts and ledgends tour is an utter piss take if you ask me. they have ruined a truely haunted place and hoaxed it! all to earn some cash. fucking wankers i say.

  • Not so creepy... but it was still fairly original when the video was recorded in 1994; the showers and toilets were still present at each end of the corridor, 0:17 and 0:37... This has been altered in recent years, the doors were removed from the dressing boxes, and there is special effects equipment used for the ghost and legends tour where the showers and toilets were.

15 years ago it was easier to get access to some of the remote and (today's) off-limits areas, than it is now.

  • People says ther is a vortex in the middle of that dressing room... Is that true lmao? I dont think I can belive that

  • I'll respond with my comment from the description above:

'This is supposed to be a major center of paranormal activity, and has been described by one investigator as 'a gateway to another dimension'. Anyway, my video camera didn't record any ghosts, and I didn't feel any different than walking through any other place. Guess I'm just tuned out to this kind of stuff.''

I did consider the pool area to be interesting and somewhat mysterious, without any special effects needed, which they have now.

  • I'd be too scared that I'd be caught by security or somethin to sneak in.

  • It used to be so easy to get into the pool and forward lower decks years ago, but they have blocked access with the new museum on forward B deck, and passages have been altered around the pool area for the ghosts and legend tours, so this really limits access now. Also the Halloween 'shipwreck' mazes have been set up adject to the pool, and have lived up to their name quite well, because they have wrecked the ship!!

  • if you know the right door(s) and stairs to take when no one is looking, you can still get into the pool

  • @76TomD how?? what doors / stairs to get in? i want to get in soo badly loll

  • fuck the security lol

  • I was There right in those stalls towards the end of the row of them playing a ghost on Halloween back in 1999 I was on "D" deck or "The Deck of the Dead" had a good time scaring people watching take off and run into a concrete wall. Funny.. And at times I did have weird feelings. Great Times

  • BOO!

  • ur brave doing that by urself i did it but with friends.

  • That's correct. Filmed in 1995, before the pool and dressing boxes areas were altered for the effects show. All the doors are off the dressing boxes now. And the ends corridor are full of effects equipment.

  • This video was made before the current effects show they have going on now.

  • Snuck in huh? I did too. Great video.
