what does carving mean? and is the pintail 43 a good board to for beginners that just want to start off longboarding?

@TruAzn100 Carving (which is what they're doing at 4:23-4:34) is basically turning side to side as a way of controlling your speed. It is similar to the motions of surfing and snowboarding. And yes, all the boards in the Pintail series would be good for beginners!

@HaliNova902 our Apex 37 is great for freestyle and sliding.. but if you REALLY want to bomb hills, I suggest waiting for our Beast board to come out.. it's well worth the wait!!

I can actually answer that one; if you think about it, this video series is almost 2 years old. They still wore proper gear, just not as often as you would see in their more recent videos. Wearing helmets, pads, ect. were things that they adopted individually. Of course, its a welcome change. Thank you for starting the spark that got me into the revolution and saving my soul, 'Original Staff!

@mshadey45 Absolutely. The Malakai 40 was not designed for freeriding and sliding, but it's possible with some practise. If you want to get into really technical sliding (big-standup slides, speed-check slides, 360 slides etc.), check out the Apex 37!
