Are those pipes where you put a nippe standard size? In other words, If I go home depot and ask for a threaded close nipple to cap, whatever they give me will work? I have 2 sprinkler heads that i need to shut off, one is toro, it has a screw on top, i turned it clockwise and shut off the water but the other one is k8000 sprinkler head and cant find the screw to shut it off, im thinking about putting a cap on to turn it off temporarily. Please let me know, thanks
to play it safe get a 1/2" threaded cap and a 3/4 one

If you are referring to the controller I would say no. Though realizing that the area is no longer going to receive water.
