I wish that they had given her more routines like this instead of making her dance sexy. She's so much more honest and mature when she's in this genre and this piece really made me love her.
Everyone keeps saying how Melanie is the best, and she is amazing don't get me wrong but Caitlynn puts sooooo much emotion into her dances she is incredible. She's my favorite person to watch because you can tell she's feeling the dance and it makes you feel it too. :)
This is my favorite dance i've ever seen on so you think you can dance. Scratch that. This is my favorite dance of all time. It's so full of emotion and power and technically perfect. There was nothing sloppy in the dance at all. It was sharp and powerful and really just greater than words.
@mamasweetcheeks200 it's after he pulls her through his arms at 00:43 but before 00:54 you can't tell exactly where he hits her because the camera pulls away, but between those two time periods is when it happened, his hands do come very close to her face in a lot of the dance moves
They are my favorite couple by far. Caitlynn & Mitchell just dance very well together. There was so much passion with every movement. I couldn't help but get chills. Caitlynn even got hit but she still kept her composure and you couldn't even tell it happened until after. They played their parts perfectly to create a beautiful performance that was in my opinion the best so far this season!
such an intense performance. when the choreographer was talking about the story behind the dance was an abusive relationship, i was REALLY hoping they wouldn't use "love the way you lie" 'cause good lord is that song over used... but using an adele song the way they did was fresh and it turned out amazingly well.<333 love this performance!

The passion of this routine DID make me cry; besides the superb dancing of Caitlyn and Mitchell, was their interpretation of the choreography--she'd hesitate, then he would roughly pull and a second later caress her and she was resistless in his arms. The ending was stunning, when he turned out the light and she went back to agonizing, a 'venus/mars' abusive relationship. This was a stunning combination!

This dance is beautiful. It looks to me (just an opinion, I might be wrong.) that the motivation is an abusive relationship. Her facial expressions tell it all.
