Check out the wheels their riding... pretty sure those are the mini cubics. I just got a new cruiser with some old school mini cubic re-issues and am looking forward to bombing hills and testing out the sliding capabilities. I guess these wheels cruise the parks well also. Sorry to correct. But you actually need some ultra-hard wheels for stuff like that. It's hard to slide wheels with a lower durometer like anything below 78a. You don't need hard wheels but it makes things a lot easier.

I agree with you saying that its funny how much things have changed in the world of skateboarding, but thats why longboarding adopted this form, simple, basic and flowing movements (simple and basic doesnt always meen easy)

I know this hill- I grew up in WLV. My older bro told me this was WLV but I was never sure (he likes to BS). The bottom of the hill is more developed now than it is in the video. That's Westlake, a man made lake, right at the bottom. These houses prolly cost millions now, maybe around $300k when I was there.
