i tested this round out of my G19 through a hooded sweatshirt into wetpack and got zero expansion, all of the other rounds i tested did pretty well (any ranger t, 124+p gold dot,147 hst, both golden sabers)i wouldnt feel undergunned with it in the summertime or a warmer climate but i live in illinois and i need a bullet thats gonna do what it should when passing through clothing, when it does expand it hits real hard but there are better choices out there
I carry the 147 Gr. Winchester Ranger-T Series in my 9mm carry guns. This ammo has more flash and recoil - but its a well regarded round. I would not feel undergunned carrying this round.
Generally I would say staying together is important since the bullet would penetrate deeper. But, these have a good track record on the street. If I am not mistaken, the US Boarder Patrol uses these. I would not feel undergunned with these in my mags, but I carry Ranger-T's in my semi's.

From what I read about this load...It is really really close to the power of a .357 sig...a little less than a .357 mag.
