the reason your hair stood up on end is because you had a feeder bolt hit DIRECTLY in front of you right before the main bolt hit. There were three separate strikes, and the first two happened right in front of you. you can actually hear the first two, they sound like regular, but loud, static shocks.
When it's quiet like that, it means a big flash of lightning is coming -shivers-
