  • I was wondering what happened to part one and two? I can't find it on your channel. I really want to know how you started to even make this tree. I have everything to make a gem tree. Just not sure how to do it. I am going to glue my gems to the tree. Instead of the holes in them. Thank you.

  • lol

  • Hey Steve, to maybe to try to save time and when it is not so cold outside try utilizing both types of wire and real tree branches. And also instead of using cement for your workshop why don't you try some REALLY cheap carpet pad and some carpet....maybe just a thought since that carpet can retain the heat a little bit....I know how cold it gets up there I have a couple friends that live in Saskat.

  • Earthen floor, moisture content, dusty, and ...can't finish the walls, etc. til the floor is in. I have it covered with 3ply cardboard refridgerator boxes and a few sidewalk squares for machinery to sit on. My building permit expires in April too.

Not much one can do other than continue on.

  • As usual YOU ARE THE MAN!!! I'll have to go for a walk in the park. Who says life can't be a walk in the park? ( and profitable:D) Can't wait to see more vids dude!!! Your the BEST!!!

  • I was pricing out the $110 set. The smaller sets they REALLY kill you on! Thats the trick cheap AND easy to make. The average trees per bag in that size is 350 trees(they say) Btw did you get my sand bag comment. A buddy of mine showed it to me and it worked out SWEET! I must say you make some FREK'N BEUTIFUL trees man and the rubber like coating makes it look so LIFE LIKE! I have to make some 15mm fow stuff in the near future I'm glad you made the vids but mine will never be as cool as yours:)!

  • Yes, bulk is better.

I'm posting a whole series of videos on trees (couple more today)

The plant "Baby's Breath" (grows wild in fields) is what a lot of the commercial hobby types sell us as trees. Just buy the flocking and go pick and dry your own (lol, they say you'll get at least 350 off of a plant)

  • My Mom's a Florist...

    The green wire they use

to strengthen the live flowers works well too...comes in a smaller diameter than paper-clips...And they use a green putty type ( not really tape) to attach the Artificial Floral Foam...it may be great for terrain molding...cheaper than skulpty and it comes in a roll: )

There are a ton of gaming supplies at the Flower Factory (Floral & Craft Supply Chain) ...But I don't know if they have them up there in the Great Maple-Tree Forest:)

  • I use floral tack (putty stuff) for holding things (jig work) while I work on and glue them.

The wire is pretty handy stuff.

  • ur vids r epic no doubt my good fellow

  • Awesome vid as usuall! Got a question. What do you think of supertrees. I guess they are a modeling tree that is actually part of a real tree. I hear they are now the "hobbying standard" They seem to run about 25 -35 cents each. I'm going to make a forest soon and I wanted to save some time. Any input at all would be greatly appreciated. I hope the car was easly fixed. I saw a bandaid on your finger. Hope you didn't bust a knuckel! Cars are just SO much fun to work on in the winter time:(

  • They are a bit more expensive than that $45 for a starter kit. The only stuff I really like is their flake-leaves-flocking stuff. Everything else I've seen is duplicatable cheaper (not counting labour, heh heh)

  • Can't wait for the vid of pouring cement for your work area 'outside'.

  • I've done a few palisades and romanish and british fortifications. That was awhile ago though. I may still have the reference pics somewhere.

  • fantastic trees always a pleasure to watch your vids.. thank you for sharing

  • great video,

really helped with the trees on my board
