The CI XM I have modelled was a ,TA152C0 R11. An allweather fighter. It was also a testbed for a torpedofighter. It was mostly flown by testpilot Bernhard Marcschel.
17 prototypes was planned, but only 16 was build.
It,s possible that two reached an operationel unit
@Wulfmeister1 I don't agree that way - but anyway. My sources are the book about Kurt Tank itself and the complete list of planes with serial numbers and versions he has ever build. If you are interrested - Wolfgang Wagner - Bernard & Graefe Verlag.
BTW: I'm flying the Ta152H version. Since there is not enough detail on my plane, I decided it's a H-0 Rnix :-)
The C model have short wings. But 50cm more than the D9. The H model had the long wing. And the plug in the fuselage was 50cm as on the D9. But the fin was broader on the TA model.
@Wulfmeister1 Sorry, but you are wrong as well :-) The Ta152 C-0 series V6, V7 and V8 had short (dural) wings with 19.5 m² (serial #110006 / 7 and 8) and no pressurized cabin (Variant R11). The Ta152 C-1 series (V13 and V15, (serial #unknown) had the larger (steel)wings, the DB603L engine, middle fuel tank n the wing and no aircharger. These prototypes were ready to fly Dec. 1944 and production should start Jan/Feb. 1945.
@Wulfmeister1 I said middle fuel tank not middle wing section.
There was only one B-5 prototype ever ( and later three others with unknown R variants V19, V20 and V21).
As long as you say H and C in general, it makes no sense to have further discussions since all these major variants were modified and it is important to distinguish them by the minor number like H-0, H-1 ,the serial number and the R variant. (R == Ruestsatz, the german word for the devices applied for the specific tasks).
@Wulfmeister1 The Ta152-H was build with both, long and short wings!!! Ta152-H0 serial #150001 to 150018 19.5m² / serial #150019 to 150026 23,5m². It was planned to later modify the H0 variant to a C3 variant with a DB 603L engine. Due to the end of the war this never happened. (Source: Focke Wulf Werk Cottbus)
wow great recovery with the gear collapsing on takeoff . Nice TA I have the regular Platt D model

@Wulfmeister1 Cool, so you have a DB603L engine with MW50 injection aboard.
....better not meeting you in the air (at least not in 15000m) :-)
Ok, lets see weather or not I can make mine a H1/R31 to survive :-)
take care.

Sorry, but the H had long wings and C had the shorter wing. The H was intented to operate at high altitudes. The C as a Zerstører i lower hights.
Have read all about The TA152 in the last 35 years, so I guess I have some information about it. Dietmar Harman have an exellent book about the Ta152.

This more like a Dora-9 as the Ta 152 would have a much longer span and an added fuselage plug at the rear, longer than the one in the D-9

The wing was mowed forward on the TA models too.

The C and H didn't have steel wings, but steel beams.

The C and H didn't have steel wings, but steel beams. Only the prototype B had a wing in the middle between H and C
