  • Nice carpet.

  • Hey I have only one question, Can I use the Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals with the CH Eclipse Yoke? Cause I like the Saitek pedals, but dislike the yoke, on the other hand I like the portability of the CH Yoke! What do you think ?

  • Nice review but please lose the music.

  • Amazon mafia hiding behind

  • is saitek's rudder pedal wider than logitech g940 rudder?

i mean the distance between two pedals

  • Hey Check out proflightsims(dot)org

  • @flightsimulationguru What are you talking about slide easily of the floor. I just got them and no matter how hard I push it doesn't slide. I dont even use those stickers!

  • @keffoo321 For me it does.

  • Narrator sounds like a giant FAGGOT.

  • can anyone help me out setting up mine for the differential braking every time I press them they get locked into the brake action although i don't step on them anymore

  • For those whom want the pedals closer to you body I suggest using a shoe box because you can use it vertically or horizontally and then adjust to it. (note: I use a class desk from the wall so I can't be comfortable with my legs stretched like they are in a racecar while making small adjustments

  • there are no comfort issues if you wear socks...these pedals are awesome..had em for 8 months now and didnt have to adjust the deadzone yet...great stuff Saitek..

  • i have mine on the wood floor and the rubber spots underneth it keep it from sliding

  • @MAF152SEB it comes with Velcro so you can stick both pieces of Velcro to it so it wont slide that's what i did anyway

  • If your are heavy into IL-2 Sturmovik the best WWII combat flight sim out there, rudder pedals are a must in hard turning dogfights. You have more control once you get use to them and it's more realistic than a twist stick.

  • can you use that with ch yoke or any ch producs at same time

  • nice vid :-) But... you could have taken off the dust of it :-) :-) Will get mine soon, hope it's great as I think it is :-)

  • wera slippers its what i use

  • its hard as hell for me to set up this to flight sim and as speak i am still trying to set up the brakes on it

  • Drummer's have the same forward sliding problem with the bass drum. Go to a music store and buy one of these devices, they simply clamp on. you should be able to find something that works. Personally I screwed the pedals into a piece of plywood which is under my chair. This is why drummer's setup on full sgeets of plywood, the whole set moves forward, but not the base drum.

  • *SAY-TEK*

  • Hey, I have a big problem with my toe brakes on this, where when I press down on the toe brakes, it turns on the brake, and differential brakes, too, but the brakes will not turn off. I have to turn on the parking brakes then turn them off to turn the brakes off. Please help!

  • @Jh30cl The rudder pedals must be used along with the yoke/stick to make coordinated turns where the tail follows the same path as the nose. When turning without rudder, the ass of the plane swings wide (skidding), and if too much rudder is applied, your nose will be outside of the tail (slipping). There is an indicator in the cockpit that tells you if you're coordinated. Coordinated turns are better for the plane, better for fuel, and better for keeping your passengers' lunches inside them.

  • i have this and it is just great

  • Well with most aircraft you can turn the aircraft with that yoke. That is what i do.

  • Ok, so here's a scream of protest (like you predicted) about saying that pedals are relatively unimportant. Ever heard of adverse yaw? Ever heard of doing slips or using cross-control or doing coordinated turns? Ever try to steer a plane on the ground without the aid of differential braking? My guess is that you have never tried to control a real aircraft and as such you do not fully appreciate the importance of pedals. The rudder is the single most effective control surface on an aircraft!

  • @airste172 Agreed... my point was simply that between a nice flight yolk, throttle controls and rudder (for a simulator) the rudder is the least important for someone trying to prioritize purchases. Also, for basic flight in the simulator the rudder is simply not required although yes in the real world it's very important.

  • @flightsimulationguru Yes, I've flown ok with just the Saitek Po Flight Yoke, I just used the Prop Pitch as the rudder(It's not as good, but works!) 100=Left and 0=Right 50=Middle!

    Now I've ordered the peddles...

  • @flightsimulationguru i think a yolk and pedals comes before a throttle quadrant having experience flying REAL airplanes and airste172 is correct in all his points about rudder control, and i also say this because most of the yolks anyways are sold with throttle controls

  • @flightsimulationguru

I FAILED a test trying to qualify for a scholarship for a pilot education simply because I had got used to not using rudder pedals on 1989 simulator..

To qualify for the test I had to keep the wings level and fly a straight course - of couse the simulator was working against me throwing me off course.

My immediate reaction was to throw the stick in the opposite direction causing the wing so be - not level.

Little imaginations is required to guess how much I scored!

  • @flightsimulationguru

    (...continued)

The moment the question got relevant on PC, (aces of the Pacific, Comanche Maximum Overkill), I build a set of pedals myself.

I immediately got acustom to using them and would never dream of flying anything without them. The is no way to fly a helicopter without them. Try to strafe the chopper without them. Impossible!!

  • I got the yoke + 3 Throttle now, lookin to buy this, and I'm using the left-pointer butten for brakes and the middle throttle control for rudder, not easy but it works. So it is low on the "priority list".

  • cool a review with no review hmmmm

  • i agree the rudders are down the list ejeje... thanks 4 the review

  • My advice? don't buy them. they worked great for the first year or so and then they got jammed somehow by themselves and never worked again. ch products has much better pedals

  • How comfortable are the pedals in sock feet? I almost always wear socks. A added some more rubber pads to my rudder pedals to keep them from sliding. I agree with you. I use to never use rudder pedals. It's not that hard, of course I fly jets so I can just turn it completely on it's side and use the elevators.

  • @BlueDagger20 No but I highly recommend them because it's a pain in the a** to fly without them. I used to not have them so I know.

  • What if you put some Dr.Schol's on it and wore socks?

  • I have a wooden floor, so I use rubber stick on pads on the base of the pedals, which you can get from a DIY shop. They work for a bit, but when the floor gets dusty the pads pick up dust and become less sticky. Cleaning it helps.

I love these pedals, the grip is really the only problem.

  • can u help me becasue idk how to assign the brakes to the pedals

  • @BlueDagger20 no you dont, you dont even have to have a joystick, yoke, are throttle to play flightsimulaor.

  • they work perfectly on my fsx

  • @abrinson1996 well duh it's Saitek for crying out loud!

  • Nice vid! I have right bought me one of those, im still waiting for them. This really helped me alot! Thanks.

  • Good review, but, dude, clean them, they are filthy :)

  • Hello guru, i clicked the link to your review because i'm not sure what rudder pedals to buy (CH or Saitek pro) but when you started to talk, the voice sounded familiar, does bipolar means something special to you? :) If it doesn't don't mind.

    Cheers!

  • got x52 and the pedals works great

  • my tension wheel dial thingy doesnt turn:(

  • how to increase/decrease the tension ?

  • I use it with and without shoes and is very confortable. I have it on a wood floor and it only moves if I do a hard movement, which I do not do very often. The Saitek Pro Flgiht yoke system is also really good.

  • do these work on windows xp?

  • Yes

What was stated regarding the rudder is correct , don't forget there are Aircraft that use controls forward and in some cases have no rudder.

As for fixing them why not simply use some flat packing strip to secure them to your chair.

    Action and reaction.

I hate the CH pedals BTW

  • when you get the pedals, do they come with a cd to install the software to make it compatible?

  • The Pedals and Yoke etc are not made compatable as such but rather are designed for PC's with Windows running and the Drivers are used to allow various extended functiions. The Pedals will work without the Saitek software but you will vbe limited to what XP or Vista "Thinks" they are and what they can do.

  • thanks

  • of course

  • yes

  • CH are much mre reliable, nice review though, i like the part where you said "the rudder is USUALLY located at the rear of the aircraft" ;) I havethe X52 PRO, Love it!

  • i wear slippers

  • On a civil flight sim like you say you don't think that much of your rudder, however in a WWII Flight Sim like IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 your skill with using your rudder to help you in your turns and hammer stalls may save your life and get you the kill in the end :)

  • 4 nails in my floor..problem solved

  • lol

  • @bilbommer LOL!!!

  • @bilbommer Velcro stripes come with it and they work fine.

    Unless you are Sasquach.

  • well im not ahat much of a compture guy so on scale of 1 to 10 how hard is the set up and what are some games that would be good on it.

  • Very easy to setup... have only tried it on FSX

  • @MrFunky81 it works well on the LOMAC games aswell (Lock On Modern Air Combat)

  • Comment removed

  • so does it like have rubber on the buttom

  • CLEAN YOUR PEDALS !!!! ;o)

  • haha I have the same ones and there totally way messier

  • How long is the usb cable?

  • these pedals also come with suction cups?

  • flght simulator detects my new rudder pedals which i installed perfectly but it does not recognise the brakes when i pushed it in..can you tell me what to do... i ty assigning the action but when i push the rudde pedals o assign the action nothing happens

  • Does anyone know if these are any good for helicopter sims like Black Shark?

  • I have the yoke and pedals ive had for about 2 years and they have no problems

  • does the rudder pedals work with saitek pro flight yoke system?

  • it does

  • yes they do ive had mine for a while and no problems

  • I have Ch pedals and they seem more reliable and sturdy than saitek pedals but saitek look better but I could be wrong

  • i was not sure with pedals to buy the CH-Products or Saitek, but now i saw you video and i know now thet i will buy the Saitek Pro Flight Pedals

    THX

  • hey everyone just so you know i got those pedals and after i used them they totoally got stuck and were unusable. just be careful what you buy

  • You'r damn right im going to scream at you! It makes your flight simulator time alot, ALOT more realistic(Rudder pedals). But to look away from that, good review:)

  • is fsx simulated that well that if your flying a single piston engine aircraft like a cessna you get a slipstream effect over the rudder causing the plane to yaw which in turn requires rudder when applying more power and turning?

  • I´m having problems with the brakes too

  • did you sore out ya brakes on peddles??

  • I can't BELIEVE this review didn't mention that the tension adjustment isn't a tension adjustment at all. It's actually a dampening adjustment.

  • how do you make the toe brakes work in FSX I also cannot figure out how to make the reverse thrust work??? I am probably setting it up wrong in the sim... any help would be awesome

    thanks

  • did you sort out peddles brakes

  • I tweaked it and it is all working fine now. If anybody needs help with the Just Flight 757 Captain the update is now out but it does not fix the seatbelt sign nor the no smoking sign but everything else is fixed.

  • thanks

  • Pedal priority is dependant on what you fly. For helicopters, my fav, pedals are invaluable because you use them constantly. Especially while hovering. For me the twist stick just got irritating. Not only is there no elevator trim in most base helo's, but you must also apply constant torque with the wrist to keep them in trim. which increases fatige. I'm not complaining though. Good review, keep it up

  • Thankyou for this review, helped a lot!

  • Great Review!
