I love this episode!! Nice introduction of Father Andrew. I love the graphic novel look in this show. It reminds me of those awesome story parts in games like Max Payne. It's got alot to say in a short time. It pulls you in and sets the mood and the feeling beautifully.
At least we didn't have to see the annoying girl in this segment. And it seems to be developing an actual, cogent plot now. I think Divine has to decide on a direction to persue, whether kitchy pseudo-horror or sincere storytelling. So far, all the segments together do not add up to much of a cohesive story, just disjointed ideas for one...or two, or three. Pick one story and narrow down your focus, people!
I really want Andrew to give his coat to Christopher... This show seems interesting so far. The first episode I was kind of 'meh..' and I haven't really seen much to like about Jin, yet...but it seems decent enough. Some of it I have to think of as a comic book to take seriously, but this episode was pretty good. I want to see more Misha Collins, obviously, but...interesting ideas and the special effects are good.
Wow!!!I was just rewatching "The French Mistake"(Supernatural 6x15) and I realized that the homeless guy who watched Misha being stabbed to death is the taxi driver here in Divine!!!COOL!!!:P
Well he past that test with flying colors. Man curated religion so tus it is flawed. On the other hand there is faith, and that is Divine. Thank you for updating the series.
This episode was so much better than the last one. It was a total contrast. The second episode was way too...let's just say the acting on some people's parts wasn't the best. And it was weird. This episode was amazing and truly made up for the horrible last one. I like this Father Andrew character a lot, and it left questions about what the cab driver is. Loved this.
Keep them coming! Divine is a great series and I love the contrast in episodes. From fighting physical evil to just doubting yourself and your beliefs, this show always gets me invested. Thank you for being so brilliant.
Still getting used to the short episodes but this one seemed longer and had more content than the others which I really liked. We are getting backstory! :) The cab driver is hilarious and adds to the atmosphere, and Father Andrew's plight was interesting though his mother was very annoying (how many times did she say Andrew??). The last episode had me wary but now I'm really interested to seeing how this all comes together.
I don't want to use the word Beautiful, but yeah, somewhere between beautiful and grotesque I guess. I simply love the whole look and feel of this, how nothing is romanticized.
I liked this episode. It does a good job explaining the background of Father Andrew. The stigmata was cool although a bit bloody. Love the dark atmosphere!
@elektra56765 Stigmata.Stigmata (singular stigma) are bodily marks, sores, or sensations of pain in locations corresponding to the crucifixion wounds of Jesus, such as the hands and feet.
It wasn't just his face ,he had a wound in the hand as well.Hope i helped:)
Fab! Oh this ep is just so visually stunning. Father Andrew and the lighting are my new OTP ;)
I'm certainly intruiged by his "fall from grace", particularly as a Catholic priest expressing these opinions. I don't imagine there was ever a time he was ever held in much favour by the church.
Way to get me with the Stigmata! I can't wait to see how Andrew fits into the whole Divine miracle and what his role is going to be in the Mission.
This is nice so far him talking too his mam awww lol what a priest better at lol. ewwww the fish ewww Andrew seems like a nice person ohh i hate his mother gay people are siners i hate people who say thats if gay is a sin why did god make them who they are so HA to thos people lol he burned his mouth lol it looked cute. what the hell why was he bleeding? iam starting too get a x-men feel from this like all the people going too one place
@gussykirsty Yes, it's such a modern problem. Because the moment one is aware they feel happy then the entire emotion comes under scrutiny and can anything exist under observation? Physics states that simply observing something can change the nature of it so if you know you're happy then do you stop being happy?
To be on the safe side - if you ever start to suspect something has made you happy you should immediately think of something else, like elephants, so as not to risk your happiness.
very good
