YOUNGSTOWN, is a dump..it's run by hack politicians and so-called business leaders..most who live there think it's "cute" think it's "slick" concerning the city's tough guy image.right now there are more crack addicts and winos in Y-TOWN, then there are mafia members..the oldest and last mafia hood is 96-year old LEO PINTO, from BRIAR HILL, LEO and his buddy TOMMY BOP..most in YOUNGSTOWN, believe in guys like FRANKIE RACK.RACK short for RACKET. chow baby..that's YOUNGSTOWN..

Y-Towns not terrible, i live with and work among some of the nicest people in the world as far as i'm concerned. just use some common sense and you wont have any problems.

my husband and i are thinking of moving to youngstown, we r from baltimore and are looking for a quieter place to live. mill creek park is what first drew us to look in the area

You realize that Youngstown was the peak murder capital of America in 2001 and 2002, and still averages about 3 homicides a day. I used to be a former resident and came close to losing my life on several occasions. My advice, Youngstown is a mobbed rain shit hole so keep looking. It's cheap to live there for a reason.

I'm also interested in moving for the cheap housing. I heard that the East side is the bad side. Like any city, there's usually bad and good areas, but I haven't visited yet. Also looking at Warren. I currently live in South Jersey, close to Camden, which has also been a violent crime capital for many years. Yet, if one gets a few miles away from it, things are normal. Same with Philly. North Philly looks like a bombed out war zone.

mill creek park is unbelievably beautiful. Grew up there . Problem is the rest of the town died with the mills in the late 70's early 80's . its depressing knowing what it once was to see what it has become.
