  • My driver, #358 in a '65 Mustang Fastback crashed at mile 2 at the 2009 PPIHC because 2 spectators were in the road when he came around the corner. He decided to risk his life and crash rather than hit and likely kill them. Spectators need to stay off the roadway.

  • Yes I was at bottomless, but I sure as hell wasn't on the inside of that corner. Seems pretty suicidal to me...

  • Actually, I later figured out (through common sense of course) that I should probably step back a little and that made the experience most more pleasurable.I do beleive that the inside of the corner is a better place to be beceause ost often cars tend to either flip over to the outside of the corner (like the evo last year) or just lose control and momentum carries the cars to the outside of corner.

  • Well my thinking is with that corner, the driver will avoid going too wide at all costs and would turn in early and plow through the apex/inside of the corner and out onto the embankment on the other side of the track rather than jump over the wall and plummet down the cliff lol

  • Yeah... very true. that cliff did look pretty nasty. not a great bail out zone by any means.

  • That was close! Did he end up winning his class? He was driving pretty hard where we were too.

  • Overall he got 12th in the standings not sure about his class though. He sure was haulin though

  • Dude, did you hear about the Fiesta that crashed? We were right there! I'll upload the video for you soon!
