And this doesn't even begin to get into the psychological torture the guy's been through. I mean the tenth Doctor cried in nearly every other episode. Combine the torture with the fact that his whole race is basically extinct, all his friends eventually leave him or die, the number of deaths he's caused, and the fact that no one in the entire universe hates him as much as he does, I'm surprised he's still functioning and not lying catatonic in the TARDIS. I hope his next companion's a therapist.

That's the rule, but my case is different. I discovered DW very recently, and I started with season 4 of the new series (I adore Donna! Best companion ever!). I read a bit about past doctors, and after watching a bit of everyone, maybe I consider the Second Dr as the best, although the one I have the softest spot for (and it's probably my favourite) is the Fifth... I really love Davison's subtle performance, there's so much there if you look closely!

Patrick is the best Dr if you ask me. He was the first Doctor. William was Dr Who, but Pat was the first to take over. What a Hard Job to accomplish. He had the best Stories. The best Cybermen Stoies, 2 Great Daleks Stories, Ice Warriors, Yeti, first Brigadier Stories etc. Then Jon :)
