What about the thief on the cross... Was he baptised???? What happened to his sin? Christ didn't seem to worry. Loved your answers from the scriptures...not! What do you make of the verse in the new testament instructing us to call no one "father" on earth except the Father in heaven.

Repent and be baptize, infants can not repent, what this priest said is not biblical and deceiving many people.

It is true, repentance would be necessary for an adult, but in the next verse he says this promise extends to children as well.

39 The promise that was made is for you and your children, and for all those who are far away, for all those whom the Lord our God is calling to himself.'

@YourWrong951 Jesus Himself stated that "unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God" (Jn 3:5.) This promise does not exclude children, and we know that Jesus said "Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them" (Mt 19:14.)

Yes the promise was to children and everyone, thats why parents should raise there kids into the word of God so when their kids have the knowledge and are mature they know to repent and to be baptize
