The song could be about her son Jake, who appears in the video. A real cutie-pie, he is. But she also had a couple of abortions and miscarriages when she was younger. So, the song could've been about those experiences, too. She has had a lot of relationships that have gone bad. Yet, she has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, which certainly explains a lot of things.

Sinead O'Connor is an amazing talent and beautiful woman. I disagree with her politics, don't care about religion, and I'm not Irish, but if I'm stressed out or having a bad day, its her music I'll listen to to lift my spirits. What a voice!

Someone told me that this song is about her aborting Peter Gabriels child. Is that true? I had not heard that they were not together. I wish they could have made it. She does have a son named Jake and a daughter and two other sons. I think it's about her first two children.
