Really great! You very smooth and clean -- as well you are getting a great sound out of that old Gibson mastertone. Looks like you have it set up as a flathead? I have a 1929 TB-3 but its an arch top and the sound is too sharp for Celtic music. I'm going to get a flathead ring for sure after hearing this. Great job!
@Mandolin1944 Thanks the TB is an archtop (1926 PB3 converted to TB4). I've found the sound to be bright at times, but also noted the older the strings, the duller it gets, so Ieave my strings on a long time (up to 4 months). Perhaps you could ask someone to look at the setup for you if it's too sharp - try loosen the tailpiece??? I go through phases where I don't like the sound, but have had many positive comments about the "pleasing sound" at various sessions, which keeps me going.
@chrisblackk now that you mention it I can see the inner arch top ring -- missed it earlier. Maybe I should try to record a tune the TB-3 and see how it sounds in you are not behind it. Thanks for the information.
