Incredibile, ho avuto modo di guidare Chrysler, sono macchine di merda. Sono dei bidoni che hanno sempre qualche problema, consumano in modo esagerato e mantengono un valore residuo irrisorio soprattutto se paragonato al prezzo del nuovo.Legare il glorioso marchio Lancia alla Chrysler mi sembra una pazzia. Concordo con molti dei commenti qui sotto. .....grazie FIAT PER AVER SPUTTANATO dopo l'Alfa un altro glorioso marchio italiano.

@55stony! You have NO idea what you are talking about. this car is an upgrade of the Chrysler 300c. It fairs well against the mercE class as the boot is larger and the power is from a merc 3ltr lump. It IS a shame that this car will suffer with the Lancia Badge! As a car of style it should do well in a limite market!

Capisco la posizione dei critici, ma io dico che è fortuna che l'abbiano copiata dalla Chrysler, almeno abbiamo finalmente una berlina a Trazione Posteriore, roba che ci mancava da quasi trent'anni ormai... certo la Trazione Posteriore potevano darla all'Alfa, era nella sua tradizione storica più che in quella delle Lancia, ma tant'è, ripeto: almeno -e finalmente!!!- dopo tanti anni abbiamo di nuovo una berlina TP.

Bella auto, che non sia fatta in Italia poco importa: anche la bmw x5 è fatta in america e la polo in Spagna, ma nessuno si lamenta. Detto questo, tale modello è comunque solo un tappabuchi in attesa della prossima versione che sarà sviluppata congiuntamente anche in Italia ed avrà dimensioni più europee.Siccome avevano questo modello già pronto hanno deciso di proporlo in quanto i costi di progettazione erano già stati affrontati da chrysler.

Anche l'Audi ha comperato il marchio Skoda e ricicla i suoi vecchi modelli con questo marchio e nessuno grida allo scandalo. The man pretty much explains it all. You people need to stop btching. I love the new Lancia Thema, but as I don't need such a large car I hope they will also release the Lancia Flavia soon. Europe needs the Lancia Flavia as a sedan and especially as a cabriolet.

To me, the only true Lancia we have right now is the New Ypsilon and the Stratos. That's it.
Oh! I also want to add this peculiar feature I saw -- If the car hits a pedestrian, there are sensors which can tell if it's a collision with a car or other object, or if it's a 'person'. And depending on the car's speed, there are gas-filled pistons below the special hinges of the hood/bonnet, which blow and push the hood up at the hinges, deflecting the pedestrian up and over the car, instead of hitting the windshield, potentially saving the person's life. I wonder how effective this is...?
Being someone who has seen the car, I can tell you what was changed from the 2011+ Chrysler 300:
- The side-view mirrors are bigger.
- The car runs on diesel, which runs louder, so some things were added to help dampen the sound (i.e.: rubber seal all around the engine bay, sound deadening material on the strut towers, etc.)
- Headlight washers
- Interior colour is brown, with slightly different-looking seats
- Bottom part of front fascia (fog light area) is different. I like this look better.
Just can't beleive what americans has done to the legend. This has nothing with Lancia anymore. Awful! People liked Lancia because it was always been avantgarde. Now it has nothing avantgarde. It looks like any other Chrysler.
The car is beautiful and the quality will compare to anything in its class . Chrysler and Lancia are two great automobiles and they will continue to be as time moves on . I'll bet if the facts were known that 99.9 % of the complainers here drive Kia's and ride scooter's .
@jml8841: I know about the shortcomings of wiki, it is was just a hint. With some intelligent searching, you will find other sites with more info about this. I don't think they are all wrong. About 50-60% of the 300C engineering comes from "Stuttgart" (Mercedes). This is no problem. But it's so "not"-Italian in design. And worse, very old, about 16 years.

La risposta è: la fine della Rover. Svenduta in parte agli indiani della Tata che non si sa che cosa abbiano intenzione di farne e in parte ai cinesi che vendono le macchine chiamandole Roewe. Prima di prendersela col management attuale (che, attenzione, sicuramente alcuni errori li sta facendo) bisogna pensare a come era ridotta la Fiat nel 2002.
Ancora non avete capito che soldi per fare una berlina di fascia medio alta non ce n'erano! Già è grasso che cola essere riusciti ad avere quel minimo di presenza nella progettazione della 300c.
La Fiat è stata massacrata da tutta la gentaglia che si è avvicendata dopo Ghidella, contabili come Romiti che di auto non ne capiva una mazza o Cantarella che non solo non ne capiva una mazza, ma pretendeva pure di avere una parte attiva nei progetti. Che fine avrebbe fatto la Fiat su quella strada?
Vi dico una cosa, negli anni 80-90 la Ferrari ebbe uno step economico di questo tipo e infatti le prime ferrari di nuova generazione erano arrivate ad essere dei veri e propri catorci.. E poi ricominciò la grande scalata dalla 355 fino a oggi! Forse dovremmo finanziare questa 2a gen Lancia magari non pienamente soddisfacente all'inizio ma che, tra qualche anno con un budget più sostanzioso, potrà impegnarsi nel costruire Lancia degne della loro storia... SAREBBE PIU' PRODUTTIVO DI TANTE CRITICHE
@Irpusabellinum totalmente d'accordo, io lavoro in un parallelo da anni e di tedesche li e'pieno: che dire delle bmw: rivestimenti del padiglione che si scollano e ti cadono in testa (mi e'accaduto su un paio di E36 e un E46),pantografi degli alzavetri che cedono (per un ricambio impegnarsi casa) e sull'affidabilita'dei diesel stendiamo un velo pietoso: sono rimasto a piedi svariate volte con audi e VW,ora la pompa gasolio,ora il debimetro, mi sa che sono un po'sopravvalutate ste tedesche.

La BMW X3 viene Prodotta in america, la Mercedes pianifica di produrra la nuova C in America, la Fiat a stabilimenti in Brasile ,Polonia.nella mercedes stessa ci sono componenti che vengono prodotti in Italia e via dicendo.
in casa mia ci sono 3 vetture: un AR 166 la B 200 e una Fiat 600, prodotta in Polonia con 99.580 km non ha mai visto l´officina se nn per ispezioni e cambi gomme....saluti :)

Qui non si tratta di produzione globale. VW investirà 62miliardi di € nei prossimi anni per lo sviluppo del marchio in Germania, ricerca, innovazione e acquisti è il motto.
Sull'accensione delle Fiat hai una fortuna sfacciata, perché anche qui da me (a 1200mt) si raggiungono quelle temperature. Con fiat aspetti le candelette e forse parte....

@superabed Una macchina simile,che negli USA ha come target berline del calibro di Lexus LS e BMW 7, Lancia non l'ha mai avuta.Qui oltre alla TP, un plus che neppure audi ha, c'e'un telaio che e'una roccia,interni da urlo e una linea che se gli mettete accanto una classe E,tanto celebrata, la mercedes pare di un segmento inferiore. Inoltre l'esistenza della 300C SRT permetterebbe un ritorno della Thema Ferrari (sostituendo l'HEMI col V8 del 458),poi te saluto tedesche.

I knew that incoming FIAT cars will me made together with Chrysler. I was a bit shocked after I saw new thema will be rebadged Chrysler.But here in Europe, we were not familiar with Chrysler from forties and fifties. But at the end of the story, I think they are on good path. I like thema/ 300.
I dont understand what everyone is talking about! Lancias have not at all been then great in exterior appearance. Maybe it was the interior.....but I'm not sure of that either...well maybe because of its ride...well Im American and dont know...Well I think that Chrysler has helped this struggling brand and together they will make beautiful cars...just like this one which is based off of an American car...If you go back in history Chryslers have always exuded more luxury and style than any Lancia
It is a bit strange why they didin't work more on the design of the car. I wonder if it will have a Ferrari-engined series , Lancia did it once in the 80's and shocked everybody,they could give it a try these days.But on the other hand , putting a Ferrari engine in a Chrysler...
Lancia is suppose to be 100% pure Italian, with no compromises of the global market needs. Lancia cars have to have its own expression and have to drip with passion, elegance sculptical beauty, and exclusivity. All Lancias from past had that Lancianess. But this car is just a insult not only to the Lancia fans but to the Lancia heritage itself.
I would have thought that blatant badge engineering such as this "Flavia" would be an obvious faux pax. The personalities and histories of these two great brands are so entirely different, why confuse consumers by grafting them together in such an obviously pastiche and crude way... it's Frankenstein's monster. I have the original and it is a truly characterful and original pieces of automotive art, surely worthy of an innovative, authentic and Italian successor...

Incredibile, ho avuto modo di guidare Chrysler, sono macchine di merda. Sono dei bidoni che hanno sempre qualche problema, consumano in modo esagerato e mantengono un valore residuo irrisorio soprattutto se paragonato al prezzo del nuovo.Legare il glorioso marchio Lancia alla Chrysler mi sembra una pazzia. @55stony! You have NO idea what you are talking about. this car is an upgrade of the Chrysler 300c. It fairs well against the mercE class as the boot is larger and the power is from a merc 3ltr lump. It IS a shame that this car will suffer with the Lancia Badge! As a car of style it should do well in a limite market!

Bella auto, che non sia fatta in Italia poco importa: anche la bmw x5 è fatta in america e la polo in Spagna, ma nessuno si lamenta. Detto questo, tale modello è comunque solo un tappabuchi in attesa della prossima versione che sarà sviluppata congiuntamente anche in Italia ed avrà dimensioni più europee.Siccome avevano questo modello già pronto hanno deciso di proporlo in quanto i costi di progettazione erano già stati affrontati da chrysler.

Oh! I also want to add this peculiar feature I saw -- If the car hits a pedestrian, there are sensors which can tell if it's a collision with a car or other object, or if it's a 'person'. And depending on the car's speed, there are gas-filled pistons below the special hinges of the hood/bonnet, which blow and push the hood up at the hinges, deflecting the pedestrian up and over the car, instead of hitting the windshield, potentially saving the person's life. Being someone who has seen the car, I can tell you what was changed from the 2011+ Chrysler 300:
- The side-view mirrors are bigger.
- The car runs on diesel, which runs louder, so some things were added to help dampen the sound (i.e.: rubber seal all around the engine bay, sound deadening material on the strut towers, etc.)
- Headlight washers
- Interior colour is brown, with slightly different-looking seats
- Bottom part of front fascia (fog light area) is different. I like this look better.

About 50-60% of the 300C engineering comes from "Stuttgart" (Mercedes). This is no problem. But it's so "not"-Italian in design. And worse, very old, about 16 years.

La risposta è: la fine della Rover. Svenduta in parte agli indiani della Tata che non si sa che cosa abbiano intenzione di farne e in parte ai cinesi che vendono le macchine chiamandole Roewe. Vi dico una cosa, negli anni 80-90 la Ferrari ebbe uno step economico di questo tipo e infatti le prime ferrari di nuova generazione erano arrivate ad essere dei veri e propri catorci.. E poi ricominciò la grande scalata dalla 355 fino a oggi! Forse dovremmo finanziare questa 2a gen Lancia magari non pienamente soddisfacente all'inizio ma che, tra qualche anno con un budget più sostanzioso, potrà impegnarsi nel costruire Lancia degne della loro storia... SAREBBE PIU' PRODUTTIVO DI TANTE CRITICHE

@Irpusabellinum totalmente d'accordo, io lavoro in un parallelo da anni e di tedesche li e'pieno: che dire delle bmw: rivestimenti del padiglione che si scollano e ti cadono in testa (mi e'accaduto su un paio di E36 e un E46),pantografi degli alzavetri che cedono (per un ricambio impegnarsi casa) e sull'affidabilita'dei diesel stendiamo un velo pietoso: sono rimasto a piedi svariate volte con audi e VW,ora la pompa gasolio,ora il debimetro, mi sa che sono un po'sopravvalutate ste tedesche.

La BMW X3 viene Prodotta in america, la Mercedes pianifica di produrra la nuova C in America, la Fiat a stabilimenti in Brasile ,Polonia.nella mercedes stessa ci sono componenti che vengono prodotti in Italia e via dicendo.
in casa mia ci sono 3 vetture: un AR 166 la B 200 e una Fiat 600, prodotta in Polonia con 99.580 km non ha mai visto l´officina se nn per ispezioni e cambi gomme....saluti :)

Qui non si tratta di produzione globale. VW investirà 62miliardi di € nei prossimi anni per lo sviluppo del marchio in Germania, ricerca, innovazione e acquisti è il motto.
Sull'accensione delle Fiat hai una fortuna sfacciata, perché anche qui da me (a 1200mt) si raggiungono quelle temperature. Con fiat aspetti le candelette e forse parte....

Fiat investe in italia? Che faranno della iveco in alto-adige? Chiuderanno anche quella?
La Fiat deve soldi agli italiani, tanti, tanti da non poterli coprire con buone parole messe giù per tentare di rendere il problema banale. Le altre case se sbagliano vengono mangiate dal mercato, lo stato non foraggia i loro dirigenti per salvare il salvabile. La VW paga bene i suoi operai, la FIAT nega loro il lavoro.

@superabed Una macchina simile,che negli USA ha come target berline del calibro di Lexus LS e BMW 7, Lancia non l'ha mai avuta.Qui oltre alla TP, un plus che neppure audi ha, c'e'un telaio che e'una roccia,interni da urlo e una linea che se gli mettete accanto una classe E,tanto celebrata, la mercedes pare di un segmento inferiore. Inoltre l'esistenza della 300C SRT permetterebbe un ritorno della Thema Ferrari (sostituendo l'HEMI col V8 del 458),poi te saluto tedesche.

I'm going mad for the new RWD Thema. Beautiful car for me, the older one was nice and sexy but very unreliable. Lancia is back.

The most ordinary Lancia ever built. Poor speech. Sounds like a mix of excuse and Italian proud of being born ingenious in desperate try to explain this "sudden creation". By the way, it doesn't make any economic sense: it is a restyled chrysler, which has it's best years behind. Deadman, zombi, ghost from the past! It is a next disaster from Lancia's management!!! Only a Corean price can make this hallucination wanted. Disappointed.

fiat have finally fucked over lancia. they have been doing it for years. they bought lancia for nothing and took on the debt then they went rallying while making some intresting road cars i am gutted that it as been sold out anyone for a stratos

I knew that incoming FIAT cars will me made together with Chrysler. I was a bit shocked after I saw new thema will be rebadged Chrysler.But here in Europe, we were not familiar with Chrysler from forties and fifties. But at the end of the story, I think they are on good path. I like thema/ 300.

I dont understand what everyone is talking about! Lancias have not at all been then great in exterior appearance. Maybe it was the interior.....but I'm not sure of that either...well maybe because of its ride...well Im American and dont know...Well I think that Chrysler has helped this struggling brand and together they will make beautiful cars...just like this one which is based off of an American car...If you go back in history Chryslers have always exuded more luxury and style than any Lancia

It is a bit strange why they didin't work more on the design of the car. I wonder if it will have a Ferrari-engined series , Lancia did it once in the 80's and shocked everybody,they could give it a try these days.But on the other hand , putting a Ferrari engine in a Chrysler...

Lancia is suppose to be 100% pure Italian, with no compromises of the global market needs. Lancia cars have to have its own expression and have to drip with passion, elegance sculptical beauty, and exclusivity. All Lancias from past had that Lancianess. But this car is just a insult not only to the Lancia fans but to the Lancia heritage itself.

I would have thought that blatant badge engineering such as this "Flavia" would be an obvious faux pax. The personalities and histories of these two great brands are so entirely different, why confuse consumers by grafting them together in such an obviously pastiche and crude way... it's Frankenstein's monster. I have the original and it is a truly characterful and original pieces of automotive art, surely worthy of an innovative, authentic and Italian successor...
