I won't nitpick that some stuff is 90s, since others have, so I'll instead add a memory.
I played a lot of Atari as a kid. Only it was a Sears knockoff, TELEGAMES. Does anyone else remember when it was Sears that was the forefront of consumer technology (remember the Talking Computron)?
I'm also surprised that you remembered Intellivision and Colecovision, two forgotten game systems that went down the memory hole after the Videogame Crash of 1984.
lol@ Sleesestacks in The Land of the Lost. They were scary..but one thing most 80's forgot that started the whole hacker slasher thing...Friday The 13th and Freddie, Michaelllllllllll....
@Kidd80s oh i so agree, long live the nes, lol, game systems these days are cool and all, but they sometimes confuse me lol, we have a gq and thats even conciderd old lol
Hi. I uploaded to my channel a *Help me pls, with a piece of a melody from a 80´s song I´ve been searching for many years. I thank you a lot if you can tell me the title and artist. Bst Regards
@agmon657 I remember that. We had large "Walkmans" and we would use a pencil or pen on the school bus to rewind a cassette tape, so we would save our batteries.
omg i remember the push ups they were good, i remember the parachute guy lol, omg the dark crystal cool movie i have it bought it not that long ago, i had the jelly shoes loved them, i remember the space hop thing those were fun, and skip it
I actually liked Crystal Pepsi. I know I'm probably the only one who did, but I thought it was tasty. Another totally awesome 80's iconic memory would be the Cable network devoted to Kids, Nickelodeon, at least back when it actually aired something worth watching.
jajajaja aun recuerdo el cuaderno secreto del Slam!!! Era lo sagrado de los chicos del barrio, y no debía caer en manos que pudieran saber su contenido secreto.
During the 1980s, I listened to a lot more radio than I watched television, so a lot of the TV references are a bit foreign, but as far as products and culture, they definitely bring back memories....I remember a girl in one of my High School classes with *really* big hair.....I sort of miss the 1980s, yes, it had it's tackiness, but it was not nearly as overdome as the 1970s
ok, like I said in a previous post, I'm 25, sooooo like only a quarter of these are true for me but it was enough to make my jaw drop - so many things I started to remember! Thanks for making this!
@xxbox619 You can buy on in Humble, TX (near Houston) they have a delarship. Just do a google search of "DeLorean" and you will see. Some guy bought all the lef over parts from the factory, so they are brand new cars they are selling, just 30 year old parts.
At 6:42 there was a point there. People did thought the world was gonna end in 2000 back then. But NOTHING happened. And if people today say that the world is gonna say that it will end in 2012, well that's just pointless!!! Their not even sure what they're THINKING!!! Why believe those people. All I know is that it won't end on that year thanks to their first lie!!!
i also know the push a pop up song theme! but didn't you think it was weird that it was not normal to have a female smurf! always thought it was weird that it was not "natural."
Smurfette was explained on the show. She was invented by Gargamel as a type of evil robot. Papa Smurf made her "real." Girl Smurfs don't seem to occur naturally.
Thanks I remember alot of those. I also remember Bugle Boys, Tonka Trucks (I had brothers...even though I'm female). I also owned a "Wrinkles" stuffed dog. I remember the pillow people as well...I can't remember anymore but you pretty much summed up alot. Thank you so much :)
Micheal Jackson didn't "white" his skin. He has got a illness called vitiligo. That means that the skin changes color from black to white. It's a skinillness. Go search on Google Picture Search and u will see a example...
I was born in '79 so I do remember qute a few things from the 80's the rubex cube for one and roadery phone and lets not forget He-Man and Shera! Bah! I miss the 80's! Thanks for posting.
This must be what they mean when they say "Your life flashes right before your eyes"... WOW! BODACIOUS! ;) This pretty much covers grade and middle school. All I need now is the 90's to relive high school and college! Thanks, EXCELLENT work!!
smurfette was created by gargamel.. as a spy to check on what the smurfs were up to, originally she was evil but she was turned to good due to the overwhelming good feelings to be had from the smurf village.... good vid btw
awesome video. It brought back memories. The sad part is that most of the fads from the 80's still ring true today for me. boo-hoo. Those were the days...
And I suddenly notice half of this epic shit we had in Europe in the late 90's.
