  • one of the first gey groups

  • Amazing band! Modern music is one of my fave albums ever. To bad that Bill went off guitar playing, he seemed so much more than most of the 70's players.

  • Some of Be Bop's best! got to see 2 shows from the Modern Music tour. Great, great stuff. Nelson is one of my heroes. Super tone, phrasing, and chops, not to mention songwriting. Heard Bill became disenchanted with the guitar hero thing and bailed after Modern Music into synth-electronic stuff (Drastic Plastic, Red Noise), which I did not dig as much. I could listen to Futurama, Sunburst Finish, and MM all day long.

  • Great band, every song from Modern Music is masterpiece, and then again, impossible to say why ...

  • Hear a guitar sing. A great song, want to find the modern music grouping played live and that'll make me feel great!

  • "They say the end of the world is near"

"They say that no one 'el survive"

"But have no fear it's not this year" :)

  • oh fuck yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Brill, love a bit of nostalgia. One of the best rock bands to never truly make it. Bill Nelson's guitar playing is almost unsurpassable. Axe Victim and Futurama are two of the best albums I have EVER heard. I thank my brother for playing them incessantly when I was but a mere stripling to have conditioned me to a big Be Bop D fan. RIP Charlie Tumahi

  • A classic band! Thanks for sharing, too bad the quality isn't better

  • I'm part of the new generation of fans!! There's no one quite like these guys.

  • This group of ultra-talented musicians DESERVES to be in The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame!!!

  • I got to see them at the Santa Monica Civic (opening for Golden Earring) and Bill had an off night. Broke 2 strings, 335 wouldn't stay in tune, and he didn't look like he was having any fun. I still walked around for weeks on a cloud since it was freakin' Be Bop Deluxe :-)

  • Incredibly awesome!!

  • Hey Dennis, I saw them after that at Santa Monica when they headlined. We

got them back for (3) encoures, we where in the Orch.. Pit and got Bill go do: No Trains to Heaven for one of those Enc's.

They were GREAT that night!! MLC

  • Great band! miss Charlie as well.

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGG .........amazing band !

  • wonder what simon fox and andy clark are doing now anyone any info please?

  • Simon played with Ulli John Roth I think but that was the 90's. Andy Clarke now goes under his name of Simon and has played with a stellar line-up since the demise of Be-Bop Deluxe. Peter Gabriel, Oleta Adams, Tears for Fears, David Bowie... A fabulous keyboard player. I must talk to Barriemore Barlow I think he has some Tandoori Cassette stuff with Chrlie on.

  • Thank you for replying with your info I was briefly in touch with simon but lost his friends email someone called hamish?,

I love be bop deluxe and haxe met bill on occasion but would dearly love to either meet or get a contact with andy and simon it may sound a bit desperate but I have lung and liver cancer and have at best 4 months left so if you have any way of passing info to either musicians please get back to me . Thanks for everything badga360 aka(billy)

  • This is the first Be Bop Deluxe song that I ever heard and it is still my favorite of theirs. What a great introduction to such an awesome band! If Bill Nelson ever visits YouTube and reads these comments, PLEASE PLEASE bring Nelsonica to the US and bring back these priceless classics! Thanks for posting

  • Lord, this is magic and Bill is better than JS Bach...............So under-rated........or not!

  • MOST under-rated rock band in history. And if anybody disagrees, that's cool. Just listen to all of their catalogue, then make an educated decision. Miss you so much Charlie.

  • excellent!!

  • Fuckin' awesome!

  • So good this is,Bills guitar is wounderfull.....

  • I saw theser guys on thier 76 (75?) tour for Modern Music. It was the second concert I ever went to and it still is the standard for me.
