@DaveWollenberg Kathy Baillie could tear your heart out with her voice. I'm no expert, but I'm thinking she is mezzo-soprano. :-) I looked around here for some samples and that seemed to match Kathy's lovely sound.
i had never heard this group b4, but at the grocery store i work at they play oh heart, and i wish i had a heart of stone. i had to find them on here cause i had to hear these songs again. they are great.
Second Armored Division (FWD), in Saudi Arabia, following a large artillery bombardment on enemy forces, we were given one hour to write final letters, before going over the top, to invade Southern Iraq, this was one of the last songs I listened to.
During the next 100 hours of Combat, 9 U.S. Soldiers were killed and 80 were injured.
Up until that time, this had been the largest battle since World War Two.
haha the first sentence of ur comment threw me. thought u were complaining, but i tk it ur happy to see d vid. :D happy listening! :) i shall never forget 'em
What are you doing uploading Baillie & The Boys? I thought the world forgot about them. Truly a group that is still very underated. I'll take Bailie & The Boys over The Dixie Chicks, or SHEDaisy, anyday.
Great song thanks for posting! Seen her in Billings MT about 1989 put on a great concert. Gail Davies had a song Your'e a Hard Dog to Keep Under The Porch am pretty sure. Thanks again, get carried away listening to all these good but not forgotten songs!

Great Stuff--I have all the singles and 2 of their cd's. One suggestion that would make it easier to find is to spell BAILLIE correctly.
hotskel2546 3 years ago 3
oopsy. didn't realize i misspelled Baillie. thnx for correcting me. i'll correct it on the video if it'll let me change it.

I love this group. I had this CD in the 80's and used to play it over and over. Very beautiful, haunting voice.
One minor comment though, the group name is Baillie and the Boys, the lead singer is named Kathie Baillie.
