Most video games suffer that same trait. A tacked-on story. Did you know that some developers actually tried to keep Pong alive with a story mode? (you can imagine how good that storyline was... :p)

I dislike the simple good-bad-duel which I have seen more than hundred times. What about the big accident four years before GX? I can only find some facts in the profiles. Is Black Shadow dead? I think he is in the next F-Zero without any reason.

By the way: Did you unlocked this Deathborn guy? How good is his vehicle?

Yep, I unlocked Deathborn. His machine is very heavy but if you turn the acceleration-speed setting all the way to the 'acceleration' side it handles more like a traditional machine. That also prevents the Dark Schnider (Deathborn's F-Zero machine) from turning without losing grip so much.

I hope they keep developing the characters in F-Zero. This game's story was well done. Very fast paced. I hope Falcon would throw some Falcon Punches and build a rivalry and a strong love interest. btw, who's his ultimate villain? Is it Black Shadow?

Considering the popularity of the Smash Bros. series now, I wouldn't be suprised if Nintendo threw a few Falcon Punches into the next F-Zero game.

And Captain Falcon's ultimate villian is Black Shadow. Deathborn was introduced into the story late as a motive for Black Shadow throughout F-Zero X and GX. Only, chapter 8 is the first and only time that Captain Falcon and Deathborn meet face to face.

Smash Bros. (bearer of Falcon Punch) became extremely popular after this game started development. I'm hoping to see some Pawnch action in F-ZERO 4, however.
