Time is irrelevant I think. There were V8 motors in the 90's that could keep up with the V8s of today.
It comes down to EPA laws. As the EPA laws tighten it becomes harder to register certain engines.
For eg. In 2001 Ford had the option of buying the V8 supercharged motor from Ford America (used in their GTs). But it was well known to make it pass the EPA here in 5-10 years time would be almost impossible, so it was not a long-term benifit.
Sorry mate I've just starting using utube. This was standard at the time of the Burnout. I've since had a 2.5 inch exhaust put on with pace maker extactors and high flow cats. I got a ford flash tuner as well, It got 300kw at the flywheel. I'm gonna post another burnout soon when I get new tyres but I'm gonna pop them this time. Go the t3 hang on to it, will worth alot of money in time to come.
