@andwhatelse Oh. Quite the contrary my friend. In this, you can't just 'run and gun' everybody down with an assault rifle. You'd get killed that way if you tried it. I'd say that it is better, though, for those trying to look for more realistic war games. BF2 is more 'cinematic' and 'run and gun' than realistic, I'd say. Not to say that it's bad. I love both games, but I'd hardly even begin to compare them. Oh and, this has larger playing fields and can support tons more people.

i play ps3. and i live for the day a game like arma comes to consols. and yeah,, arma 2 could come for consols. i mean it would not be EXACTLY like the pc version. and i hate when these pc nerds tell me it can't,,,it would be alot diferent in graphic and some gameplay wise. but it could.

I payed 500 for my PC. I can play almost all games at highest setting on my resolution. I do agree that you have to upgrade more, but the games are cheaper, by the time you spend $140 on 2 Xbox 360 games in canada, you could have almost bought 3 off Steam for PC.

What machine do you have? If your gpu is weaker than 8800gt forget about arma 2 and go for arma 1. It runs form 6600gt and up. In my case its radeon 4850, P4 3,4Ghz, 3GB of RAM and i can play it on highest details with avarage 40 FPS. Game is amazing multiplayer is awsome, single player rather lame (OFP was waaay better with the story line etc). Anyway game is worth every penny.

In a few months ArmA 2 will be out. In June 16 actually. If you were smart you would buy that. ArmA 2 features 6 factions to play as, twice as many vehicles and weapons. The map is real and takes place in Russia. There are actually female civilians now and wild animals roaming the forests. Much more andimations and better graphics. Should be a great game. Thats if you computer can handle it...

I like the way the frame rate on the trailer is as indicatively sucky as it was in the full game, you can't say Bohemia Interactive weren't honest!

I just hope Arma 2 is more settled.

The smoke in this trailer is not anything like its in the game. This trailer shows a very old alpha version of Arma and is worthless today.
