  • wait which on was doyle?

  • Ten years later and this clip still is chilling to watch. Never forget our fallen FDNY brothers!

    CFD!

  • I never cry but i was bawling at the end of this episode

  • VERY touching. Thanks to NBC and Third Watch. Well done. Thank You.

  • I love how carlos is laughing with them trying to fit in. Lol

  • i cried tonight very touching

  • Safe to sat those are real tears by Faith at 2.54

  • Carlos: I'll make the beans....lmfao

  • Alex and her mom in this show--are they related in real life? They sure look alike, both beautiful.

  • What they did with Kim's character in the second season was atrocious. From chasing after a suddenly uninterested Jimmy to sleeping with some sleazy guy and then trying to off herself at the end and being useless. Just nonsense.

  • @Coleburg omg i know. Most of the second season, Kim just drove me nuts with the stuff the writers had her do. One of the very, VERY few things the show did that i didnt like

  • @sportsfan723 And she didn't get much better after that. Although her and Jimmy seemed like minor recurring characters and extra's for most of the series.

  • @Coleburg -I hear you, that is how I thought about Fred's character!--Great show though.

  • The actress who plays Faith is married to a real life firefighter in the FDNY.

  • @varaada Yeah, and Bill Walsh is a member of the FDNY.

  • @varaada I KNOW

  • @varaada Her husband also plays a firefighter in this show. DK.

  • @trinity106 --I heard that, was a very great show, this episode, wow--genius--wish I had it all on DVD-take care!

  • @varaada, Correct. And for those that didn't or don't know. Derek Kelly who plays "DK" in the show is Molly's husband. Like Bill Walsh, him and Derek Kelly are actual FDNY Firefighters. If l you watch the special Third Watch called "In Their Own Words" its real stories told by memebers of the FDNY, EMS, and NYPD. All the actors with the exception of Molly do lead in's from the commerical breaks. Molly tells her story in the "Family" sement of the show.

  • As a Paramedic, myself, daughter of retired cop, and granddaughter of a retired Fire Chief, I can certainly relate to these characters. I have watched this show since it's very first pilot, and now own all episodes, and watch them pretty regularly. Living in the midwest, I was unable to help during the WTC attacks, but I would have gone in a heartbeat! As the flag on the 55 Squad reads....These Colors Dont Run!!! I love it!!!

  • @ Lori2279, not sure about that particular actor, but Derek Kelly, who is actually married to Molly Price (Ofcr. Faith Yokus), actually IS a NYC firefighter, and has occasional roles as a firefighter on the show. He was "missing" for several hours at the World Trade Center on September 11th. Was actually, uninjured, but couldn't make family contact, and Molly Price was worried that he had died.

  • @KristiR70 Yup, I remember that, have to give her major kudos for being able to do some of those scenes, it obviously would have hit close to home.

  • This show is so great, I myself am a paramedic, I see alot of emotion stuff on a daily basis. This episode nearly kills me everytime. I can't imagine how it feels to lose so many crew members. Then to have to turn around and try to get on with your life. It must be so hard. God bless all the NYFD, NYPD, and all the Paramedics(NYFD) that helped out.

  • Someone told me that Third Watch had to end because it portrayed 9/11 in a way that made people upset so they had to end it in a certain amount of years, but i think they did a good job with the show after 9/11 and their scenes were very realistic and so touching, this episode should of won an Emmy!!!!

  • An amazing tribute that always brings tears to my eyes. I asked my mom a few weeks after 9/11 what she thought one of the most heroic things that happened that day was and she said when she saw those firefighters after seeing the first tower collapse and knowing the second one would ran into the building without hesitation.

No one knew and hopefully now will never forget the heroism of these people who risk their lives every day to make our lives better. God bless them.

  • The scene 1.10-4.05 made my eyes wet.. Respect.

  • such a good show....

    sux NBC took it off....

  • I wonder if that guy driving the fire engine at 2:43 is an actual fire fighter.

  • i just cant like fred.

  • thank you for posting these videos

    thirdwatch great show!!!!!

  • faith is awesome!

  • EXCELLENT episode !!!

    I cried all the time.

  • I STILL find this SO hard to watch without weeping.

  • These are the days to remember

    Where beating hearts take precedence

And life is yet of some value

Where candles lit raise prayers to the sky

For souls lost to be found,

And flags raised half-staff to honor

Our brethren, the lives that gave us breath.

  • thank you for your support,

  • i feel so sorry for molly this must have been so hard knowing here husband was there for real on the day

  • @PaulieMac77 I Totally agree!!

  • Just when they gave an effort to getting back to normal.... one of their own is found. Dead. =[

  • thank you who support your city's Emergency Service workers like me and thousands of men and women who help people every day

  • It's amazing what we take for granted some times. A few episodes ago Carlos was called a "bus driver". Just as we should never forget the sacrifices of those on sept. 11, we should also never forget those who put themselves in harms way for us every day.

  • @mwtrek thank you

  • The thought of september 11 makes me so angry. The thought that one persons evil actions could take the lives of so many innocent ppl... so many good people like people from the EMS. Its just so wrong. I never ever wish death upon people, but I wish that Osama and all those who helped to mastermind the terror attacks like september 11, the Bali bombings etc. suffer the same way they made victims and their families suffer. RIP to all of those who lost their lives.

  • R.I.P I we will always remeber that day I was

in work puting shoes away when a guy i work with

came in room and said that a plain had hit one of twin towers

in NYC I said it must be just a small plain or a fire i was going

on lunch so I got 2 see the news in a shop that had sky news on

and then the seond plain hit I was like oh shit World War III.

  • Hmph, 8 years later and so many people just bring up their damn conspiracy theories as if no one should be sad or emotional or give a damn about the people, just bitch. And it is funny, someone used a quote from 2001 that said "now we are all American" but what I see everyday is one political party calling the other un-american, people fighting visciously over their own beliefs of why the attacks happened, and people from other countries telling us we deserved it, 9/11 divided us more than ever

  • Good old Sully did the right thing...then he could get the family out of there so they dont have to keep annoying him and Tatyanas son needs a nice punch on the chin to liven the little shit up

  • i couldnt watch that movie, everytime it started i was already crying, than i had to shut it off.... i havent tried again...

  • God Bless U.S.A

  • have they shown Bobbys funeral?

  • yeah a few episodes before this, in the second season

  • no they didt actually. they showed the aftermath and the reactions of the peop around him, but the funeral was never shown, probably because they didnt want to air a funeral for a fictional character right after 9/11

  • yeah i guess.

  • No they didnt but that is a good point. I thik they should have

  • 00:50--before it gets all sad, haha Carlos n his baked beans :p!!!

  • this is just the sadist one i omg i remember i was in my lunchroom for breakfast and looking out the window it was faceing south it was just so beautiful that day not a single cloud in the sky, than the plane you can just see hit my heart feel because i knew my 2 aunts and father was down there i called my mother at that time i was using voicestream

  • good fuckin episode.

  • Camden,London,England the United kingdom and Europe all love you. As one great person said "we are all Americans now."

  • so so very sad

  • windsor, ontario, canada loves ny

  • I think its great that they decided to show this. We never really got shown the full extent of the aftermath in the UK, but it was certainly felt.

I think everyone remembers that day, no matter where they were in the world. Huge respect for all those who had to experience it first hand. Great job.

  • Yeah you're right, i'm french & i will never forget that day.

  • Does anyone know the title of the end song? It' so loveley but sad at the same time.

They also played it on a special about the firefighters from 9/11.

  • I am a career firefighter in Montgomery County, MD. Thanks Lt. for showing the world what we do. I love this show and my heart is still broken for the brothers and sisters we lost. I think that 911 changed us (firefighters / police / EMS...)forever. Please....never forget us.

  • I am only a volunteer firefighter, but this episode really shows what its like to be in that brotherhood. I dont know the guys in my department really well but when we are on scene you are all there for each other .

i have respect for every first responder and my heart goes out to anyone who lost someone on 9/11 or any other time

  • theres no only about it ! just coz you may not get paid doesnt mean your not a firefighter. when you get the call your still there doin the same job. stay proud and do what you love

  • This show is one of the best ever...you and your brothers and sisters will NEVER be forgotten, i think about all of you everyday. You aren't the only one who has a heart that is broken over those that were lost on that day. You are appreciated daily for all that you do.

  • ff2832: I'm also from Maryland; my fiance used to be a firefighter in NY state, and is now in the USAF. I have a lot of respect for ya'll. Thank-you, ff2832. These are the days to remember Where beating hearts take presedence And life is yet of some value Where candles lit raise prayers to the sky For souls lost to be found, And flags raised half-staff to honor Our brethren, the lives that gave us breath. ~WMM-AH (Dedicated to the men and women of the PD, FD, and EMS. • saddest but best episode ever thank you for this it means alot to all of us.

  • maybe its cause im such a dweeb or because im a firefighter........but did anyone else notice that @ 3:01-3:08 when the FFs are getting out of the truck, that the booster tank EMPTY light on the pump panel is flashing.

  • This clip leaves me broken hearted and humbled. At the end when Alex says aquik prayer and runs to the bus leave me speechless. Thanks for posting.

  • Thanks for the vids as always Lt.

    Beautiful episode. Very sad :(

    God Bless

  • bbq - yummmm. omg that moment was ruined w/ sad sad sad. the poor firefighters =[

  • 2:18-4:10 is one of my favorite moments of the entire series

God bless police and fire personnel everywhere

  • Many series didn't have any episodes directly related to the events of that day for fear of seeming disrespectful in any way. Plus many didn't deal with the emergency services the way this one did.

Since TW deal directly with Fire/EMS/Police in NYC they felt it had to be addressed. It was handled with grace and a dignity deserving of those who sacrificed themselves either in death or in the scars they will always carry.

  • I'm a long time fan of the show, it still amazes me how well they handled the events of 9/11. The music told the story better than anything else.

  • They Guys Have Such Awesome Laughs And Giggles 12 Stars************

    Mark:)

  • I Also Thought That This Was A Very Emotional Video Too!!!!

Thanks For Uploading And Posting Lt=)

    Mark:)

  • third watch is one of the only television shows that actually dealt with what happened on 9/11. well done...

  • very true

  • @jaysonbartzen Resuce me was pretty good. But I didn't like how it portrayed certain fire fighters using 9/11 as an excuse to get laid. Though in reality I'm sure there were some firefighters that might have actually played that card.

  • @jaysonbartzen

Wells had do great how to handle the situation......nothing too explicit, because at that point people we're upset a lot,the magic in it,he'd make us feel like we've seen, without seiing it......Thanks To John Wells

  • i loved the ending makes me cry everytime they should be thanked everyday not just for a few weeks after something like 9/11

  • thanks 4 upload...very sad...
