The bar is Captain Jack's located in downtown Lincoln, NE.
The dude in the bottom right is deaf and was watching the standard definition feed with closed captioning which was a second or two ahead.
Actually, the soccer supporters here in Lincoln, (where the Outlaws originated), are about the only right minded people in this town. I bet a third of the people in the video travel out of the country every time the US plays abroad to follow the squad, so that terrorism thing is kind of funny.
That jerk in the far right corner of the screen, the first to celebrate, probably the only guy watching the game in standard def so he saw the goal before everyone else. :)
The blonde dude wearing the #15 jersey lifting up the chair; fine. Then dousing everyone with beer; whatever. But throwing a glass accross the bar at 1:02; seriously bro?
I love how the dude in the bottom right is watching a TV that isn't delayed as much as the big screen everyone else is watching. Notice how he reacts to the goal a split second before the rest.
This is the emotions and feelings that the Beautiful Game evoke. No sport can match the beauty and raw emotions of this sport. I can't help but smile to see that the americans are starting to realize this.
To all americans who complain that football or "soccer" (however you want to call it) has low scores. That's one of the beauties of this game, you never know when it's going to happen, unlike basketball or any other sport in which scores finish "96-78 or 21-24" in only one second, the game can be decided, just like in this match, it looked as it it were going to a draw but it turned out to be a USA win
@Taboas2013 Personally, i love soccer. but i think the real reason lots of fellow americans don't like soccer is not as much as it is the low scoring as it is the milking of injuries. and it always seems to be the europeans, besides english teams, that tend to lye on the ground and fake cry because someone just bumped into them. when most americans are used to full contact sports then watch a soccer game, they tend to think soccer players are pussys. However, it's not keeping me from watching...
The cheering is music to my ears. I remember at that time i took work off and watched this game at home by myself. when they scored i jumped over my couch and started running around inside my house yelling. i'll never forget that moment.
Dear americans: You´ll never celebrate a score like the GOAL!!, is always an explotion like anything else.... congratulations.... i hope you get into the final 4 as soon as posible... great team!!
@rambo19962007 thats not unusual. the guy was probably listen to the radio broadcast with a device in his ear, the signal in the tv is always some seconds late.
in my country lots of ppl listens to radio broadcasts along with the tv. of course in bars that often brings problems because it cuts the suspense for those watching nearby. in this case nobody got angry cause they all start partying and thrashing the place :D
From France guys, GO USAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA !!!!! the soccer is going to take a good place cause of "the yankees" !! i'm a fan of the national team, and i'm the Donovan #1 fan since the 2006's world cup !!! (and i've the 2010-2012 away Jersey of Landon =P)
I love the length of this video, you can see the crowd's reaction ot Howard's Save, then the buildup of emotion to Dempsey's shot as it gets blocked the "oh".....then the YEAAAAAAAAAAAAA of Donovan's followup goal.
@hellyea93 uhmm actually.....football is just a bunch of meatheads hitting each other with pads on..in soccer and or futball it takes SKILL to win a match not brute force and speed
@drewzywest3220 Alright. Then explain to me how quarterbacks complete 60 yard passes. Explain to me how defensive linemen are able to get passed offensive linemen that outweigh them by 70 pounds. Explain how recievers catch passes knowing they are about to get crushed by a defender. You probably can't explain any of these because you're talking out of your ass. Football takes as much skill as soccer, their just different games. If you're gonna go making claims at least be educated on the subject
The point of the comment is that American Football players are skilled, yes, but at a very limited skillset. "Football" or Soccer players have to have more of a variety of skills. Defenders can be called forward to help score on a set piece. Forwards sometimes have to get back to help defend. That is a strong reason why it is more awe-inspriring to watch a VERY skilled Soccer player. They are jacks-of-all-trades, and yet can excel at every single one of those trades!
@hengineer All that means is that soccer positions are less specialized. Soccer is a bunch of very similar types of athletes. That's why they can be jacks of all trades. Football has a much more diverse array of athletes. An NFL center couldn't play midfield in the EPL and an EPL midfielder couldn't play center in the NFL. Neither sport requires more skill than the other, they're just different. Why do soccer fans get all butt hurt about American football? They're both good sports.
@PHILLYfan1518 Its not that we get but-hurt about American Football, I honestly couldn't care much about the sport. I watch it but I don't go crazy following it. Its just that most supporters/followers of Soccer/Association Football in America are sick and tired of defending the spectator sport of our choice. Usually its American Football Fans who mock and deride our chosen sport. Yet I understand the sheer athleticism that goes into playing each of the two types of Football we're discussing.
so funny - guy on the right can see into the future....as for the guy who picks up the bar stool then throws the bottle, quality, thats how you cheer a goal...by putting someone in hospital. kakakakakakaka
Though I'm disappointed about Bob's line up choice for our game against Ghana, I'm extremely proud of our team. We finished 1st in our group, tied England at their own game, came back and tied against Slovenia, and won against Algeria. For a poorly funded rag tag team we did amazing, compared to teams like England, France, and Italy who spend loads of money to their national team
U.S. Soccer Team= Never give up and fight until the end.

@yankees2249 thats what the world cup is all about man, 64 superbowl like matches where national pride is at stake and the whole world is watching. Just wait for the knock out stages, its like a superbowl on steroids.
I'm readling a lot of comments that gimme the impression that suddenly they think they're the best of world... c'mon, people... don't understand the happiness of some people from Brazil or somewhere... Is USA, idiots!
All you American-bashers are sort of missing the irony of your anti-Americanness aren't you? You're a critizing America on a forum - Youtube - invented by, hosted in, and made possible by - America. QOQO19's favorite music is hip-hop - again, something created by, in, and sung predominantly by - Americans! But, be my guest, use our technology, post on our forums, listen to our music, and bash us all you want - just please, please, at least admit the irony and hypocrisy Soccer Soccer Soccer
Americans will go in net round, they were too luckily in these games. First luck against England, then luck against Slovenija and luck against Algeria. Now luck ends.
@applesxP coming from a canadian who will never see his lil "country" in a world cup, all I can do is laugh at your inferiority complex. your words have no weight here. go play some hockey
@ozzzman9 It's pointless to argue that point. We Americans have another sport that is extremely popular that we call Football, and we call this sport Soccer. The US hasn't had many triumphs in this sport. Please let us enjoy this "moment in the sun". Hopefully, in this tournament, they will continue.
this is sick usa has grown in soccer so much <3 i want them in the semis atleast :) there not the same shit they was 20years ago now there amazing <3 :) !
All of these people talk shit about America not being die hard into soccer. The reason being most of those die hard countries are extremely poor and soccer is basically all they can afford to play to get out of the poverty. All it takes is a ball and two goals. It's cheap to play and doesn't require any pads or gear. Americans have the luxury of playing whatever the fuck they want which is why we're so divided amongst sports. I personally love soccer, football and baseball all the same. USA USA!
@iJustDontGiveAShit and its mostly because soccer is not big in the usa. Now Football, Basketball and Basebal *sadly baseball*.. those are big here in the us.. although i agree with you sorta. lots of the countries in the world cup are NOT poor.
Nebraska sports fans are among the best in the world. Our beloved Cornhuskers have allowed us to appreciate greatness no matter where we see it. I think I would rather see a husker football game at this bar than at Memorial stadium.
A lot of Americans didn't follow hockey at all until the Miracle on Ice game.
So what if we're suddenly talking about a sport we don't follow very much? It was a great moment. This is going to win people to international football over here. Isn't that a good thing?
What does it matter if they never watch soccer!!! There happy because there country won. I'm from Colombia where Futbol is our life , but it's great to see American's coming together to celebrate there win.. Well deserved
you know it is true that lots of Americans love soccer guys? Were not as die hard crazy about it as other countries cause America is mostly about NBA, NFL, and MLB *sadly...baseball sucks* our MLS teams suck.
@famousgirl9x9 The only sport we're good at, yes... and as a result we don't pretend to care about anything else. That said, the fact that Canada has beaten the US at anything is remarkable considering you have 10 times more people.
@Doctors2Advocate - there are more hockey players in canada than the USA. it's like 500k vs 450k ( i read it somewhere). also, using population differences is the exact reason why canada will always remain an international joke. you complain too much, and do too little.
@Doctors2Advocate boo hoo. Canadians cant have talent? Please! don't use that popularity thing. and Americans do like soccer. especially all the mexicans we have in the us. haha
This is where the word "chairman" came from.

After the US women beat Brazil, I had to watch the men's world cup reaction videos again.
This is BY FAR the best reaction video of them all.
1) The 2 dumb coonts sitting in the corner booth not paying attention and texting on their cell phones.
2) The hot asian girl at the right of the screen who is paying attention.
3) We can hear Ian Darke calling the play on the TV.
4) This video starts before Howard's save and outlet pass to Donovan.
5) The guys saying "GO" as Howard's pass hit Donovan.

Nice play by the US. enjoyed the game.. but its not soccer. Its FOOTBALL!
ozzzman9 1 year ago 4
@ozzzman9 It's pointless to argue that point. We Americans have another sport that is extremely popular that we call Football, and we call this sport Soccer. The US hasn't had many triumphs in this sport. Please let us enjoy this "moment in the sun". Hopefully, in this tournament, they will continue.

USA USA!
iJustDontGiveAShit 1 year ago

Isn't that a good thing?

you know it is true that lots of Americans love soccer guys? Were not as die hard crazy about it as other countries cause America is mostly about NBA, NFL, and MLB *sadly...baseball sucks* our MLS teams suck.

@Doctors2Advocate You should stick to your hockey. That's the only sport Canadians play right?
famousgirl9x9 1 year ago
@famousgirl9x9 The only sport we're good at, yes... and as a result we don't pretend to care about anything else. That said, the fact that Canada has beaten the US at anything is remarkable considering you have 10 times more people.
Doctors2Advocate 1 year ago
@Doctors2Advocate - there are more hockey players in canada than the USA. it's like 500k vs 450k ( i read it somewhere). also, using population differences is the exact reason why canada will always remain an international joke. you complain too much, and do too little.
svd205 1 year ago 3
@Doctors2Advocate boo hoo. Canadians cant have talent? Please! don't use that popularity thing. and Americans do like soccer. especially all the mexicans we have in the us. haha
