how loud is it in real life ? I bought the mac 3inch catback with the o/r upr x and its way way too loud so i was wondering about magnaflow i heard its not as loud and fairly more quiet. Also how is the fitment ? My Mac was sitting on my irs cradle and on my gas tank sheild which isnt good lol and it hit everywhere on the streets. Just dont want to make a very very costly mistake again in ordering the wrong cb.

Magnaflows have about the same internal construction as a Borla XR-1 racing muffler so if you want the Borla sound at less than half the cost, get some Magnaflows. They're also stainless and come with a lifetime warranty.

I would have to disagree, borlas sound slightly better but magnaflows are second on my list. Nice ride man, sounds phenominal, nice D's too, where's the figure 8's? LoL J/K

Well they sound the same to me, maybe my ears just aren't fine tuned enough, used to listening to trucks around here, Kansas is cowboy country after all but my nice truck with the nice motor has quality headers and a Magnaflow muffler, only my beater truck has the classic redneck chambered mufflers with tiny 2.25" duals but I got an H-pipe in it so don't worry it's not too redneck like the cackly, popping trucks I see around here with 2" straight piped duals.

My 95 Sierra has a 40K 260hp GMPP 350 with Holley Pro-Jection and a Lunati cam and Vortec heads with a 5-speed, while my 86 Silverado has a 4bbl 305 originally from the Sierra so it's bone stock with a TH350 and the 2.25" true duals. The Silverado actually sounds nice, I rather like the cackly sound when it gets up there, my Sierra sounds like a ferocious beast tho lol. My 87 Mustang 302HO/T-5 has BBK equals, BBK o/r H-pipe and Borla Turbo's, it sounds real deep, nice a mellow.

After I did the pulley swap, intake and exhaust I had it dynotuned by DynoSpeed in Memphis, TN. I doubt you will need a tune with just a catback or mid/catback setup though.
