@BowieSalvatore it's called "panting".... dogs do it to cool off, like we sweat. shelties do it a lot since they're usually hyperactive and love to run..

No, she's actually racing the car. See the video "Sheltie was born to run". This is a daily routine. When a car approaches on the road parallel to our trail she "cheats" by taking a short headstart and races as fast as she can until the car is about to catch her. She then declares the "race" over and herself the winner! =)

oh, ok, i see, it does look like a pretty big headstart. lol i have a 6 month old sheltie/smooth coated collie mix named roxy. she's hilarious... she gets a new toy, and accidentally runs into a wall, lol. is that a sheltie thing? or collie? or did i get a good one? lol

Aaww.. so cute! I can almost remember when my sheltie used to run and spin like that! Soooo cute! Now my sheltie is six year's old but she's still soooo full of life and jumps around alot, They are so beautiful!

Thanks for the comment. April is now 10 and hasn't slowed or changed a bit. Did your sheltie spin counter-clockwise? Seems like all the "spinners" spin in the same direction. Have you seen my "out of control shelties" video, you'll probably recognize some other behaviors that yours has.
