To those of you complaining about the mallet players, not all of them play percussion as their main instrument. Not enough of the usual percussionists want to do it, so they recruit others who can still play relatively well. For example, one mallet percussionist plays trombone as his main instrument (go Scott!), but he also plays piano and chose to play mallets as it has a similar layout.

nicee...there was a video of a full drumline (like 50 people) doing metropolis, with minimal use of xelaphones. You could still tell the song....don't remember where to find it though =(
